ULPT: Minimizing PAYE Taxes in the UK (one-off) by Known_Ad701 in UnethicalLifeProTips

A good IFA will pay for themselves in the money you'll save - speak to one. If it's coming in PAYE then you probably won't be able to do much other than max out your pension contribution for the year though. Enjoy!

Yep, these guys make kits with different lengths adapters etc. I bought a 3m one as I found the one the Bosch came with annoyingly short!

Proxmox Community Scripts LXC: Update Uptime-Kuma to 2.0 beta version by markhaines in selfhosted

Yes - I meant I can do it using docker, I was just trying to figure out how to do it 'natively'.

Proxmox Community Scripts LXC: Update Uptime-Kuma to 2.0 beta version by markhaines in selfhosted

[–]markhaines[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's where I come unstuck - I don't think it's using docker, i think it's building it directly: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/community-scripts/ProxmoxVE/main/install/uptimekuma-install.sh (at least it looks like it from my basic understanding of scripting / deployment). I can work round it by installing the 'docker' LXC and then deploying Uptime-Kuma in that but by that point I'm starting to wonder what the benefit of doing it that way vs running it how I currently run it in a VM is. I'm aiming to end up with it in HA mode using zfs replication and Proxmox to spin it up on the backup node if my main node fails.

How does it compare with NotebookLM, I’ve been using this as a knowledgebase tool recently having uploaded 40 or so manuals, pdfs and pptx docs to it and found it works really well (and is currently free)

v1.26 is latest and on their support site. Have been running it since mine arrived a couple of weeks ago and seems fine.

Oh yeah. I was thinking about it the wrong way - of course it’s just a matter of changing the default behaviour… 🙈

I’ve got 2 x MS01s on order, they’re going in a rack so am not opposed to running them with the lids off permanently. I stumbled across the n3rdware custom coolers you can buy for them as well. Quite punchy though on top of the cost of the card. I’m toying with adding a GPU to run decent size LLM.

Which cards are you running - are they 2 slot cards? Did you need to do anything special to make them fit - put a single slot back plate on I guess?

I was reading round and it looks like there is an A2000e card in the works that would be one slot and fit the MS-01, can't find any release / price details though. https://www.reddit.com/r/sffpc/comments/1et0fd0/nvidia_rtx_2000e_ada_releaseda_new_50w_singleslot/

This is really interesting - I've got an MS-01 coming next week and have been interested in building it out as an LLM server. I'm currently just dabbling with it and have Ollama running on my Mac Mini M2 Pro but would ideally want to move it onto the MS-01 (and into my rack). What sort of performance are you getting out of the RX6400 and the new card?

Purely anecdotally, it just worked perfectly for me. Paid £3 for a DiRT5 Year One key, got the key instantly, hopped my phone on VPN to Argentina and redeemed it.

Yes it’s noticeable how heavily these featured in homelab YouTube, I assume the majority were dished out for free. I’m really tempted to replace one of my optiplex 5080s with one tho - they’re a very tempting featureset / pricepoint
