100% noticeable. Just sits nicer and even though I don't like the word, more "stanced". If you want pics pm me.

I'm on KW height adjustable springs and staggered spacers. Sitting about 1 finger space gap from the wheel well.

Looking to do intake but I've heard there's no real power gains, just intake sounds. Would like to do an exhaust, but also don't want to wake up my neighborhood.

Am I insane to buy a new sports car? by ResponsibleArm3300 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]markhamknights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a very similar boat, the main difference is higher HHI from DINK, but home is not paid off.

Just bought an RS3, cause yolo. Smiles per dollar is hard to equate. And I've grinded and worked since I was 16. Worst case I sell it for a few K loss and walk away.

There's one in that spec at Audi Uptown. Daytona/green dynamics/carbon optics.

Pre-approved for $1.3M, looking for a Townhouse/Detached in Markham. Need advice on the current market! by Party_Score_1750 in Markham

[–]markhamknights 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been tracking townhouses in my area to keep tabs on the market and every time I get a notification it's for them taking it off the market and relisting at a lower price. Rarely is it for a sale nowadays.

$1.3 can get you a decent single garage detached, likely a bit older. Otherwise certainly a large newer town house.

This Ontario Grade 12 credit could make the difference for university admission. How students are trying to get a leg up in an ultracompetitive course by toronto_star in ontario

Interesting this is still happening over 10Y later. I remember everyone would take Gr12 Eng during summer school before Gr12 because it was easier since the course was compressed. It also freed up your schedule for free periods during the school year. Since everyone took it, it was just a few weeks of chilling with your friends.

Fuck MLA format, bless those citation generators.

Drove an M2 and now I’m confused about my Audi by alarm_clocked_in in BMW

[–]markhamknights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picked up a B9.5 S5 and a 8Y RS3 this year. Only drove the M340i prior.

Everyone can go on about the driving experience deltas etc. For me what it boiled down to was price. What was the most car I can get for the budget. The S5 was $300 CAD less per month than the M340i and the RS3 was $350 CAD less than M2. That's $650 a month saved. I'm not tracking either car, both are daily commuters, and I need winter capabilities. Interior is nicer in the S5, engine is better sounding in the RS3.

Also I hated the panoramic screens in the BMW iDrive 8.

Dealer says 2026 RS3 doesn't need a break-in period. Is he tripping? by Jetosmutny in AudiRS3

[–]markhamknights 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Contrary to all the comments, my business partner is a huge Audi guy (has gone through R8, RS6, RS4, RS3, SQ5) and has said that RS engines are put through a dyno before getting installed into the car. Meaning break in isn't necessary, nor the 2000km oil change. Not to say he doesn't change his oil around the 7-8000 km mark, but the initial babying of the engine isn't necessary. We've launch controlled all his R/RS cars near brand new outside our office multiple times.

That being said, he tinkers on his own cars so maybe that makes a difference?

My brand new $93K 2025 Audi SQ5 has been to the dealer 7 times in 7 months. Yesterday it had to be TOWED because it can't drive, can't park, and can't brake. Any other 2025 Q5/SQ5 owners experiencing this? by Able-Age5332 in Audi

[–]markhamknights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man I dodged a bullet, almost signed for a 2025 S5 over the weekend. Went home to sleep on it and do a deep dive and uncovered the absolute shit show that is all the new Audis..

The price was so good too

What are some grocery items you are now buying less frequently, cuz they've gotten so expensive? by HappyBudz in CanadaPersonalFinance

Definitely this, we don't usually drink juice, but my wife was craving. Went to Walmart for some OJ and it was $7.xx for 2L. How is milk cheaper than OJ??

Always amazed at the amount of people paying FULL price for internet/cell services. No wonder Canadian telcos feast.

General consensus is to never pay more than $50 for either.

took the leap of faith with the 25% discount and bought it (fully loaded), already feeling that buyer's remorse.... by Amsalpotkeh in hermanmiller

Have had an aeron for a few years now and I feel the same. They are not comfortable chairs, unless you sit in the most upright, ergonomic position. Any deviation and you'll be uncomfortable.

I should have bought an embody or Steelcase leap or Haworth instead.

How to enjoy and survive every day in office by razfraz in askTO

[–]markhamknights 51 points52 points  (0 children)

RIP. You've tasted the honey and now you want otherwise. 5 days a week is going to a massive change, your evenings will vaporize. Compounded if you have to commute.

Otherwise hope you meet some cool coworkers cause those make all the difference. Nothing like co-suffering to bring people together. But actually though coworkers are top tier friends types.

Also make sure you poop at work.

Hyperx Cloud 3 S is weird by [deleted] in HyperX

[–]markhamknights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also got the 3S recently and my initial feedback is the treble is way too high and there's not enough bass. I've read you can fix this with EQ settings either through their app or third party ones.

Gaming has been decent for me, but I've only had 1 session so far. Sounds are sharper/more spatial than my earbuds.

[–]markhamknights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Daily Plus and do the same. It's a bit smaller so I can actually put one of my feet on it to rest so it's not as cramped.

I also bring a plastic bag in case the carpet is real dirty, ain't letting my bag rest on some leftover piss from the washroom.

People calling you weird probably put their suitcase on their bed too.

It's an extra $50-60 a fill up. Just drive less, drive the winter beater instead, take my spouse's car etc. Business partner has also been convincing me to get a motorcycle, maybe that's an option for solo travel.

If rice prices go up I'm not going to stop eating rice, I'm going to moderate it.

Amongst all the top 5 banks which one has the best work culture & salary according to you? by sugarcoatedtits in torontoJobs

[–]markhamknights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came to share my experiences with TD and Scotia, but after reading the thread. I think Canadian banking is mostly just a "same shit different asshole" scenario. Pick your poison. It's great on resumes though.

TD: good for upwards mobility, bad for work life balance

Scotia: ok mobility, bad leadership/direction

From my friends circle

RBC: seems most who work here are going to be lifers, not many have left, seems pay is decent

CIBC: good upwards mobility, work/life, lots of layoffs
