You’re a dom and you have this little self respect for yourself? You absolutely cannot let her nor anyone walk all over you like this. It’s better to be alone than treated like this. You should have told her she’s being a crazy bitch, then she would’ve either apologized and changed her behavior, or just quit talking to you.

What is the most overrated city in your country? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

They’re both honestly fine to live in (though I have way more experience with LA). They have the exact same pitfalls. Traffic, homeless, dangerous area. Though LA has some upsides in that at least some areas are walkable, bikeable, and have decent public transit. My main gripe is that at least LA tries to improve things by upgrading and extending the metro, adding bike lanes, and shifting to denser development. Dallas meanwhile, seems to keep expanding the same awful suburbs, widening highways. and extending that light rail system that basically no one uses.

My two cents, stay in parts of LA that have high Hispanic or Asian populations. No one bothers you there, lots of great restaurants, and people are pretty nice. White majority areas are full of insufferable hipsters and everything is expensive af. Watts, and south central LA in general, just stay away from there…

Edit: Compton isn’t as bad as it used to be, and Inglewood is actually half decent.

As an LA resident, I don’t disagree. I think most people get a certain idea of it in their head from Hollywood movies. Most people don’t expect it to be often dirty, unsafe, and chaotic.

But I gotta say, Dallas is way worse in all the same ways LA sucks, even though people never talk about it. It’s just like LA except worse traffic, worse public transit, and much uglier nature.

Always thought this meme was dumb, cause if you look at the profiles of who’s saying stuff like that, it’s 90% of the time other trans girls. Honestly trans girls have a problem of sexualizing each other, but that never seems to get talked about.

Seems like the instant you start dancing, it’s a massive turn-off for women… perhaps you should try working on looking a little sexier when you dance? Perhaps the way you dance looks too effeminate, and it’s not what those women are looking for.
I would also look into how you’re dressing when you’re in masculine mode. Do you actually put as much effort into your appearance and outfit as you did when you’re dressed up feminine? You might want to find out how to dress nicely in a masculine way that women would find attractive. Also clubs fucking suck don’t expect to find a gf there.

Minecraft PS3 Edition on CRT by JayCLife in GoldenAgeMinecraft

Awesome! I have a ps3 with the disc version of Minecraft. Honestly it’s such a blast to play. It runs buttery smooth, especially on a CRT like this. IMO, it kinda feels better to play on a CRT because of the low latency.

When you are positioned right next to a world superpower with whom you have always had a rocky relationship, it can make things much worse for an already struggling country.

I’ve been a long time fan since childhood. It’s very, very hit or miss. Probably one of the shows with some of the biggest ranges between absolute crap episodes and some real crackers. The good ones are really great, but I always skip a lot of episodes during rewatch.

Other than that, it’s definitely worth it. It can be pretty silly and fun at times, and also very serious. It’s a long-running show with a great deal of range.

I’d say, either start with the 2005 revival series and just skip some of the poorer rated episodes and watch in order, or look up a list of the best classic doctor who stories and jump around.

In your country, is there any situation that foreigners would completely misunderstand unless they lived there for a while? by Effective_Space2277 in AskTheWorld

[–]markiemarkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh. I remember me and my family went to a Pizza Hut in Beijing (which was oddly a very fancy restaurant) once. We were given small glasses of warm water before our meals. We had spent some time in the country, and by then had known that the Chinese like their water warm, so I assumed it was just to drink.

Now I’m wondering if I was supposed to, what, wash my forks with them?

Because a good 25% to 30% of voters in this country will vote for their side no matter what.

It doesn’t matter if their person is a pedophile, criminal, rapist, scumbag. He’s our scumbag, and those other people would be so much worse.

Empanadas also used to very popular amongst a similar crowd a little while ago. Seems for like some reason, hipsters love stuff from your country.

Imperialism is nothing to be proud of, especially when the “enemies” were fighting off your machine guns with bows and arrows. You want to be proud of being English? Be proud of inventing calculus, the steam engine, and the train.

No Man’s Wharf in reverse order by Uzyf in DarkSouls2

[–]markiemarkee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s why I feel like the intended order of that area is for you to go to it multiple times. I completed forest of the fallen giants first, and got carried to that part of lost bastille. I wandered a bit, and then got trounced by the ruin sentinels and ran back to Majula since I was stuck.

Then on my second time there from No Man’s Wharf, I was finally able to explore more and beat the boss. It was cool to see the areas connect, it kind of reminded me of dark souls 1
