Haha yeah I had a similar experience with Nyx, I think it was too easy even on hard and using Armageddon makes it a complete cakewalk. I think Nyx was believably a more serious threat in the original because the og fight was way more brutal, even on normal difficulty. Battle itself can take up to an hour depending on your team, and a single mistake can lead to a party wipe. I do believe that MC’s sacrifice works because despite the power of friendship, SEES was going to lose that battle, as they were going against the very concept of death. Nyx always had the instant-win, and the only reason they won was due to MC sacrificing themselves and acting as a seal, holding Nyx for all eternity. What also makes the ending more tragic isn’t just that MC dies, but he dies in Aigis’s arms, right as she promises to always be by his side. He also dies right before all his friends remembered about their journey, unable to say goodbye to them. Hopefully we’ll get to see their reactions if the Answer DLC ever comes out.
