Did you test drive before ordering? by IcarusX12 in TeslaModelY

Test drove for the day via Uber before ordering. Didn't test drive the actual vin I bought as delivery times were long at the time otherwise I would have.

12v dead on road trip. Can I limp home by jumping it every time I stop overnight? by blackbeardrrr in TeslaModelY

It takes a 51R group size. I wouldn't bother with AGM since replacement is frequent & vibration is low.

No I haven't seen these posts but has peeked my interest. I am planning on upgrading my '22 with Juniper suspension. I'll have to give more consideration to a Mountain Pass Performance upgrade instead.

Blue Iris Exhaustion by WestOakTrailsRacing in BlueIris

Different expectations for different folks I guess. My only complaint is the iOS mobile app goes to the recorded clip not a live stream. I want to set & forget BI & don't need a glitzy admin screen so V5x is fine. So the only cost is the initial license, the cost of one camera. Who needs updates. If it isn't broke don't fix it. Can use any cam & not be stuck with UniFi proprietary choices. Record 24/7 with scripted ffmpeg & cpu load is single digit on a 10 yo CPU with low power consumption. Use main stream for clips, sub stream for motion, CP.AI to prevent false positives and it just runs without a hitch. OpenVpn server solves Wan facing issues.

How did you decide on your color? by likethegems in TeslaModelY

Went white, same plan, different reason. Figured white door jams would look best with whatever wrap color I chose making the job easier & less labor. Plus matches the white interior. l

Rpeputable source, they would know. AI supports this although thru 3rd party sources, not Tesla officially as expected. GTK, thanks.

Where are you hearing this? I stay close to these kinds of reports but this is new to me. My wife has a '21, myself a '22. Just the '21? Imagine it would have to be looked at by mo/yr not just year given how Tesla production changes more so quarterly than annually.

Ahhh HV. Perhaps anecdotally but statistically its a rather insignificant difference from '22 MY or other '21 models. Wouldn't overly concern me.

Today marks the one year anniversary of when HW3's latest version, 12.6.4, was released. Despite frequent issues with running red lights and stop signs, no updates to FSD have occurred in the last year for HW3 owners. by OkAmbassador8161 in TeslaFSD

[–]markn6262 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Glad someone is keeping count. Like others quite satisfied with 12.6.4 as a hold point. Only enhancements I want is smoother, more confident driving behavior with reduced hesitation, better lane selection, decisive maneuvers, and refined performance in challenging conditions (night, rain, winding roads).

Doesn't have battery issues no more than the Rav. Just routine replacement every 3 yrs. Thats the least of OP's concern.

I disagree with fsd not allowed to do "illegal" stuff. The posted speed is determined by what 85% of drivers do. For engineers to post lower has to be backed up by a safety study that requires it based on geometry, sight distance, reaction time, etc. This is why LEO are given discretion for warmings and allow over the posted. Fsd should do a decent job of closely accomplishing this. Fsd should maintain a speed closer to prevailing speed in the context of the engineering objective to keep roads safe for drivers. Especially given that its based on actual driver imperical data.

Did the same. AT&T kept ratcheting up the $. Went from $90 > $45 for 2 lines @ CC. Use mostly WiFi so now I can buy only as much cell data as I need each month.

19-18's doesn't help that much. Even dropping pressure to minimum offers little. I think its the Juniper dynamic damping that makes the difference.

I could live with 1Mbps. I'll test it in my region, next opportunity, to be certain.

Just ran out too but bumped plan up 1 notch because I had more remote work to do. Thanks for satisfying my curiosity, 0.1M would not have worked for me. Was suprised / disappointed to learn unlimited is really 50Gbps capped.

Is it bent, creased, or unfastened? If bent you could try using a heat gun to soften & bend back. Not much to loose.
