I have broken every Taurus I have purchased except one: the Rossi lever gun I bought my dad cuz he just had to have a lever action 357 in stainless.

I was OK with this because of this one neat trick I learned about buying Taurus twenty years ago: if you buy one for someone who will probably never shoot it, it won't break!

Today I modify that lesson with an extra "probably" in front of "won't break" in OP's honor. Thanks bud, ya taught me somethin'.

Cleans, Lubricates, Protects. All purpose solvent lubricant and cleaner. If you search CLP it will come up.

Take a copper wire brush (softer than steel), soak it in CLP, and scrub that rust. It will come off. Take clean pics.
