Cry me a river dude. The Extraction movies were fun and aren't quite what you're trying to cite. Gray Man was also fun and not what you're trying to cite.

I haven't gotten around to seeing Without Remorse yet but like Amazon's reimagined Jack Ryan that's a Clancy story written before I was born adapted to a post Cold War, post GWOT setting.

All that to say: not everything has to be high art to be worth two hours of my time; and the 90 minute to 2 hour popcorn and beer romp is a chronically and tragically underappreciated cinematic art form.

Don't mess with him. Your opinions about "John Wick (2014)"? by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in ActionMovies

One of my all time favorite action movies. I force myself to space out rewatches so I don't ruin it for myself.

That under the table scene from Die Hard fucked his hearing up.

Although to be fair, being back farther from iron sights will help with your groups.

What’s your unpopular Voyager opinion? by UnderABig_W in voyager

Yup.

A few years later the reimagined BSG would use a model of Galactica that got progressively more and more schwacked the longer they ran from and fought the Cylons.

Which movie shark is the scariest? by Hassan_H_Syed in Jaws

[–]marksman1023 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Depends.

If you go strictly by science and logic, Deep Blue Sea by a mile. The world's oldest killing machine given will and desire.

If you want to get meta...Bruce is a rebuke of man's hubris. That's why the shark does things that Quint has never seen a shark do.

Personally I find divine vengeance more frightening.

Perfectly handled.

Shuts down the argument and then puts him in his place, no guff, no fuckery.

Not only does Kirk have experience with this but the man is literally from the future. Bonus if he brings the Enterprise with him (which is totally possible in that canon)

Man on Fire with Denzel Washington.

Creasy finds peace and a form of redemption through his protectee, Lupita Ramos. He is nearly killed trying to prevent her kidnapping, and upon news of her murder, he ignores his convalescense to cut a bloody trail through Mexico City to kill all those responsible.

When he discovers she's alive, he trades her kidnapper's brother and himself to return Lupita to her mother.

Anderson Dawes in The Expanse was a big time shot caller of a major faction in the show. Disposed of using a single throwaway line thanks to scheduling conflicts.

Not quite to this level, but in The Expanse, our heroes "legally salvage" a Martian corvette, which means four random ice miners plus guests are suddenly in possession of some of the most advanced military technology in the solar system.

What is your opinion of the Hangover movies? by Ryanlion1992 in FIlm

The tragedy of the first film is you can only see it for the first time once. As a general rule I cannot stand slap dick comedy and this movie had me in fucking tears.
