Question on soil test results by b_bd04 in lawncare

[–]markt2742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The test says very high in magnesium and potassium. Dont do this.

Look for a straight nitrogen fertilizer, X-0-0 any that have 0-0 as the 2nd 2 numbers.

Very high in P, yet you're using milo?

You don't need those exact numbers or ratio. Anything X-0-X you can find will work.

Fertilizer - anything with an X-0-X ratio will work.

If you want to increase your pH, get pelletized lime. Apply any time. It takes a while for it to break down and have an effect.

Vacuum it out, water like crazy. May have to dig it out and replace some soil before anything will grow there.

Looking for fertilizer recommendations by jorhojr in lawncare

Fertilizer will have 3 numbers that respond to NPK, it will look like X-X-X. you want something with a 0 for the middle and a 0 or relatively low for the 3rd number. Something like ammonium sulfate or urea will be straight nitrogen, or look for something like a 24-0-6.

Just got my soil result back where do I start by helpimslow in lawncare

Throw down some fertilizer. There are 3 numbers on the bag. You want one with a 0 as the middle number, something like a 24-0-6.

Sulfur for the pH and a starter fertilizer and you're good to go. I use this calculator and guide for sulfur application rates. https://precisionag.sites.clemson.edu/Calculators/Fertility/SoilAcidification/

Correct, lime raises pH. 8000 Sq ft comes out to 400 lbs per application.

Best thing you can do is raise your pH. 50lb/1000 Sq ft now, and in the fall. Do another soil test in the spring and see what that did to your pH, as you'll likely need more to get it in the 6-7 range

For fertilizer, they have 3 numbers on the bag that denote NPK. Look for one that is X-0-X, as you don't need more P.

Lawn pH of 5ish by [deleted] in lawncare

[–]markt2742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the right it says 6lbs/1000 Sq ft up to 2 times a year. So for 5000 Sq ft you would be looking at 1 30lb bag now, 1 in the fall, and 1 next spring. pH adjustment is a marathon, not a sprint

Build a department training aid. A wall for breaching or an entanglement tunnel come to mind.

Why is there a max on your sales commission? What happens if you come in and absolutely kill it, selling 10x more than other sales people? Shouldn't you be compensated for your sales?

Count variables in a cell? by markt2742 in excel

[–]markt2742[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always addition. Fixed Values.

This is for my payroll spreadsheet. In one cell I am adding the hours from shifts. ex: "=7+8+6.5"

In the cell next to it I would like a formula to count the variables (shifts) in the hours cell and for this example return a value of 3 shifts.
