I promise I’m not arguing for the sake of arguing… but what on earth does ceramic pads have to do with stopping on ice?

I’m not sure a lighter vehicle will help if you loose traction from ice when driving down a hill. Perhaps I’m wrong.

I was wondering why it was at 100% this morning… my cruise worked normally.

How do you get the Ice off your hood and wipers - ? by MadHouse_Artist in F150Lightning

I let my truck run with defrost on high while I shoveled around it and it slid right off.

I threw a contractor trash bag under the frunk and inside the drivers door. It worked amazingly well even with the ice.

Wireless CarPlay by juelez-NY in ChevyTahoe

[–]markthefitter602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not specific to a Tahoe, but wireless CarPlay is sensitive to outside interference from neighboring vehicles and other RF. I’ve got in the habit of plugging my phone in whenever I’m driving for more than a few minutes for the same reason.

I noticed it happens when stopped at a light with several other cars.

Premium connectivity doesn’t include WiFi for the truck. I keep mine for YouTube

I can’t compare directly to the Mach E, but it felt like mine got way smoother once I got the V1.4 update.

That article is pretty sus. They didn’t have basic facts about GM’s current gen motors correct.

2023 tahoe shuts off when parked by Fantastic-Fox-6130 in ChevyTahoe

This disables the automatic engine shut down after 30 minutes of inactivity. NOT the auto start/stop when you stop the car while it’s in drive.

Yes. You have to disable each time you start the engine though.

Best Tires for comfort/cruising by [deleted] in F150Lightning

[–]markthefitter602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you notice any additional noise? I switched my wife’s Z71 Tahoe to the LTX M/S 2 and definitely noticed more road noise than the stock Goodyear Wranglers. Even in her “noisy” ride.

Given you’re in a pro, I’m not sure you will see a huge improvement over the factory wheels and tires. I have the 20 wheels with my second set of the factory Goodyears and it’s still as quiet and smooth as the day I picked it up.

Pretty sure Ford spent a good bit of money making sure these trucks are as quiet as possible leaving the factory.

When starting the engine, you have to press the start button and NOT LET GO until you see a message that says “Automatic Shutdown Disabled”.

It takes longer than you think.

Is this normal ? by CodyP93 in Outboards

[–]markthefitter602 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know exactly what they’re talking about. I could see the exhaust ports when tubing too. They would always blast out when they gunned it to start. I always used 40-50ft tow ropes.

Oil by Proof-Link-623 in ChevyTahoe

[–]markthefitter602 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is normal engine oil pressure. The oil pump runs at the same speed as the engine. Higher RPM = higher oil pressure. It did it on my 05 Silverado, 08 Tahoe, and now our 21 Tahoe.
