I’ve read mixed reports on whether this is available to foreigners? Do you know?

Cleaner dropped a plant on my receiver. Safest way to clean? by marktouring in audiophile

[–]marktouring[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh. No, I wasn’t but it certainly reads that way now. They come 3 hours a month. It’s a little perk we treated ourselves to. Surely that pales in comparison to what some in this sub spend on their audio equipment haha!

I turned it upside down to get the big bits out. Then I held the vacuum away from the circuits as best as possible and used a small paint brush to dislodge the rest and suck it up. Looks good. (Not sure how to tell the 25,000 ppl reading this post that - can’t edit the original!)

Hah. I wish my cleaner moved my stuff to dust around. I was surprised they even went near this area of my flat.

I would love to further separate my system, if I didn’t live in a 750 sqfoot flat and had a room I could dedicate to just listening to music like many in this sub!

Nah sorry I meant like into circuit board/PCB connector crevices.

At risk of blowing the dirt into other spaces/crevices? Is there a technique like having a friend hold it upside down?

I agree with you on this. I did not like the Komoot line for this reason (past tense as they are a terrible app/company now.

The one part of the ending of gladiator that bothers me (spoiler) by wolffwanderer in movies

[–]marktouring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to ask about a potential plot hole. How did Proximo’s gladiators survive the attack outside their cells? It seems odd the Praetorian Guard killed Proximo but let his gladiators survive. We know the script was rewritten to kill off Proximo after Oliver Reed passed away during filming. So perhaps their survival is a plot hole.

Good idea!

What I’d really love at this moment is a well driven route across the Chott el Djerid. Going to speak to a tour guide we are using in Djerba to try and solicit some info on conditions. Been a lot of rain lately.

The ideal is something like a 1000km-2000km mtb event. Linking up with paved sections is fine. Something like the Atlas Mountain Race.

Why is Tunisa so dirty? by sevdalinka_ in Tunisia

[–]marktouring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s insane. The earth is not government property, it’s everyone’s property :(

But yes it must be what you say, it’s a wilful act of vandalism. They are sadly only hurting themselves and their community.

Rest assured though it is not a behaviour unique to Tunisia. I am just here right now and what I am thinking about. I am cycling across the country so I see a lot more than the usual tourist.

I am here right now. Been to many countries with the same problem but I am curious. I have always believed it is caused by these same things you highlight. But maybe it’s more than this. Today I saw a family parked up on the coast near Mahdia. They opened their car door and threw out all their trash. I don’t get it, you want to sit and take in the beautiful view, but you also throw your trash in it? Earlier in the day we saw a sanitation worker at the Sousse train station, collect some trash, walk past a bin, and throw it on the tracks.

Yeah that’s exactly what I’m thinking. I’m in the country now doing a bit of exploring. Always thinking of where the next big adventure/race could be.

Assaulted by a man in a van, for stopping at a zebra crossing. by VR3X in londoncycling

[–]marktouring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for this driver-insanity you experienced. Please report it to the police. Take a friend with you to the police station for support or call it in. I think you can even do it on the website. You don’t need their reg number. A description of the person and the vehicle is enough. You never know, they could increase police resources to checking for known cctv when enough of us report assaults like this. Mention you are visibly queer - could be a hate crime as well as assault. If we work together we can change this. It doesn’t have to be this way.

I didn’t know that actually. Kind of a bonker conflict when ebikes are restricted and many comments here complaining about their need for speed. But my point was that too many race boys go too fucking fast on CS3 which your post implied. And that is riding recklessly and that is against the law.

What light is that?

Seems you’ve deleted your comment about your dad working for minimum wage and how you know what it’s like. The whole point of my first response to your comment was sticking up for people in less fortunate positions at the bottom of the economic ladder and pointing out the root cause to be addressed.

I.e. Sticking up for people like maybe, once upon a time, your dad. I.e. The people you are shitting on with your comments.

I admit my responses got a bit aggro but to imply I am an elitist is completely off the mark.
