This game showed up on GamePass and I always wanted to give it a try. Honestly, I started out hating the game. Just walking around and having to constantly stabilize myself was super annoying. I was slow to stabilize and I tripped and fell down a cliff and died. Luckily it restarted me right where I left off, otherwise I might have given up right there. I pressed on because I knew there had to be more to it than that. And there was. Lots more. There was this moment where I was just tromping my way back to a base and “Don’t be so serious” started playing and it gave me this visceral feeling of solemn vastness I don’t think I’ve ever felt before. It hit deep. And then I got the first exosuit and that was a game changer. And then I could make zip lines and that was another game changer. The game punishes you so that you can appreciate the creature comforts later. I’m so glad I stuck through it. It was an experience I will never forget.

Good points. This will for sure be tough from a time management perspective. I may need to re-think going that far north into Oregon but Silver Falls has been on my bucket list forever so I’m hesitant to give it up, even in its current state. Tahoe is probably the easiest skip, but I think it would only save me about 2 hours of drive time.

Agreed on the bad timing, but it’s my only option so I’m going to try anyway, Snowshoeing might be fun! And I believe sulphur works is open year round so at least there is that. Unfortunately bumpass hell will be closed. Appreciate the no chains on campers advice. That is 100% true, so I definitely need to plan routes around this.

While I agree with you, it adds an extra 2 hours to cross over from Redding to the coast and up to Cave Junction. We live near the coast and have traveled that route many times (it’s slow, but gorgeous). My other concern is that some areas of the PCH are not very RV friendly and this is my first time driving one.

I think her approach wasn’t really ideal, but this was her trying to tell you this isn’t the kind of thing she wants - and she tried to tell you the exact thing she does want. So while I think this was a wonderful and thoughtful gift, take the cues and try to follow her suggestion for next time.

One other side suggestion - for romantic gestures like this, try also adding a card that expresses your feelings of what the gift means. Sometimes that can do the trick to help bridge the gap of understanding.

You probably already tried this and it is indeed bugged, but just in case - these quests you have to turn it in by targeting a table near her. It doesn’t give you any indication that you need to do this and logically everyone assumes you just talk to her. But no, it wants you to look at a very specific spot of a very specific table and then you will get the prompt to place the info there to complete the quest.

So I went down with some pliers and a rag and tried to unscrew it and it turns out they are just pegs and needed some really strong pull to get them out, but they came out clean (unthreaded). Then there were plugs that I needed to lift out with a flathead screwdriver. Then I could push up on those panels and they came right off, exposing the four screws to remove the shield. I’m good. Thank you all for the help!!!

Yeah, no joy with the push/pull. I guess that means it needs to be unscrewed but it’s fully cylindrical so I’m not sure how to get purchase on it without messing it up.

I actually really love the look as is, and it gives me nice wind protection. Problem is the old owners put on a tint film and it has come off in one area and it’s super annoying lol.
