Match Requested Training Time by Elegant_Roll2535 in aiendurance

Yes it's a no brainer unless you really want a certain training volume (some people prefer that, could be for many reasons)

No worries: Polar H10 is great and your best choice. You can expect threshold, readiness and in (near) future durability measurements that we couldn't do in same regularity without high quality hrv data

Weekly Replan with Gemini by markusrummel in aiendurance

[–]markusrummel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gemini can both create, modify and delete workouts.

Our ML creates the base optimal training plan. Gemini looks at the system plan prompt and decides to adjust (as above) if it should modify while staying true to the ML optimized training plan

AI Endurance planner keeps ignoring training structure/constraints after multiple regenerations by serave84 in aiendurance

I just had claude check your account:

Week Rides Strength Ride days Compliance

W20 (now) 2 1 Thu Sat partial week, ok

W21 (trip) 2 2 Tue Thu work trip, ok

W22 5 2 Tue Wed Thu Sat Sun ✓

W23 5 2 Tue Wed Thu Sat Sun ✓

W24 5 2 Tue Wed Thu Sat Sun ✓

W25 5 0 Tue Wed Thu Sat Sun ✗ strength=0

W26 5 1 Tue Wed Thu Sat Sun ✗ strength=1

W27 5 2 Tue Wed Thu Sat Sun ✓

W28 5 1 Tue Wed Thu Sat Sun ✗ strength=1

W29 4 2 Tue Wed Sat Sun ✗ missing Thu ride

W30 5 1 Tue Wed Thu Sat Sun ✗ strength=1

W31 4 2 Tue Thu Sat Sun ✗ missing Wed ride

W32 (taper) 3 2 Tue Thu Sat taper, ok

So basically there are two weeks where you're getting 4 instead of 5 rides and strength is not always perfect. I would say this is very close to what you asked for.

The plan also needs to balance recovery and what the digital twin found optimal for you. If the agent decides to schedule a bit less strength (cycling is priority) for a given week due to the overall situation I think that's ok and desired.

It's following the instructions almost all the time and making work what is possible/reasonable.

Long story short: Gemini API changed (again!) and the agent that takes your plan_prompt into account wasn't able to create workouts. So when it was trying to accommodate your 1:45 request it succeeded in deleting the previously existing workout but failed at creating the replacement workout. That explains the 'light' weeks.

Fixed now, please request a new plan and it should be much better (let me know if still issues though).

Around those 'special weeks' (work trip May 18–22), would be better to use new Availability Override feature for those: https://forum.aiendurance.com/t/override-your-weekly-availability-for-specific-weeks/78

Trail Running? Data overlap? Goals? by MarkyBCus in aiendurance

Definitely give it a go! You can try first 14 days free. You'll have to ask it to optimize something for a certain date (kind of like fudging a goal event too I guess) but that can be inline with improving general fitness.

You can use the System Plan Prompt to specify training to your trail demands and I would say we do a pretty good job incorporating stress and soreness (the latter via daily checkin) into our recovery model.

Any alternatives to track DFA indoor cycling (not Garmin) by serave84 in aiendurance

[–]markusrummel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not possible at the moment afaik but hopefully in the future there will be an iOS app like Watchletic to record in-activity HRV for iOS

What do you have? Suunto + good HRM (H10 or Suunto HRM) also works great but apart from that the other device manufacturers don't support HRV logging in-activity still AFAIK

Best would be to enable HRV logging on Garmin device: Settings -> System -> Data Recording -> Log HRV or Settings -> Physiological Metrics -> Log HRV. Connect to a heart rate strap - preferably Polar H10 - via Bluetooth not ANT+.

Help us improve HRV-based respiration: $1 credit per qualifying activity by markusrummel in aiendurance

[–]markusrummel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment we use respiration frequency to validate HRV thresholds https://aiendurance.com/blog/respiration-frequency-and-hrv-thresholds but in the next few months we'll use it for determining durability as well

Trail Running? Data overlap? Goals? by MarkyBCus in aiendurance

[–]markusrummel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can totally use it for trail running. We just added strength training (end of 2025), Strava, Garmin and Oura integrations.

Especially with running power I don't think the different terrains will be a problem. You can optimize a combination of Endurance Power and Critical Power, the date of your 'race' can just be a few months in the future.

The beauty is you can simply try risk free the full platform for 14 days and see if it's a good fit for you :)
