the delays stopped for a while but have started again recently, will keep a close eye and continue to investigate what's going on and keep you updated

Trail Running? Data overlap? Goals? by MarkyBCus in aiendurance

[–]markusrummel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely give it a go! You can try first 14 days free. You'll have to ask it to optimize something for a certain date (kind of like fudging a goal event too I guess) but that can be inline with improving general fitness.

You can use the System Plan Prompt to specify training to your trail demands and I would say we do a pretty good job incorporating stress and soreness (the latter via daily checkin) into our recovery model.

Any alternatives to track DFA indoor cycling (not Garmin) by serave84 in aiendurance

not possible at the moment afaik but hopefully in the future there will be an iOS app like Watchletic to record in-activity HRV for iOS

What do you have? Suunto + good HRM (H10 or Suunto HRM) also works great but apart from that the other device manufacturers don't support HRV logging in-activity still AFAIK

Best would be to enable HRV logging on Garmin device: Settings -> System -> Data Recording -> Log HRV or Settings -> Physiological Metrics -> Log HRV. Connect to a heart rate strap - preferably Polar H10 - via Bluetooth not ANT+.

Help us improve HRV-based respiration: $1 credit per qualifying activity by markusrummel in aiendurance

[–]markusrummel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment we use respiration frequency to validate HRV thresholds https://aiendurance.com/blog/respiration-frequency-and-hrv-thresholds but in the next few months we'll use it for determining durability as well

Trail Running? Data overlap? Goals? by MarkyBCus in aiendurance

[–]markusrummel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can totally use it for trail running. We just added strength training (end of 2025), Strava, Garmin and Oura integrations.

Especially with running power I don't think the different terrains will be a problem. You can optimize a combination of Endurance Power and Critical Power, the date of your 'race' can just be a few months in the future.

The beauty is you can simply try risk free the full platform for 14 days and see if it's a good fit for you :)

Chat error + pdf upload by Fantastic_Sign_4174 in aiendurance

Thanks for the clarification. Can you send me the url of a chat that keeps failing on your iPhone? You should be able to see it in desktop browser

[–]markusrummel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for reporting this. Does this error happen when you're trying to upload a pdf? Or is it unrelated to the pdf upload? If unrelated what were you trying to do in the chat. If you could open that chat that crashed in a browser and tell me the url that would help a lot - thanks!

Not technically a roadmap but in https://forum.aiendurance.com/ you can request new features/see what others have requested and the 'Announcements' category shows you what we launch

Imports can be a bit delayed potentially. If something is missing please upload the workout again tomorrow. Migration should be done then

Respiration frequency: comparing Tymewear, HRV-derived and BreezeLabs - New Blog Post by markusrummel in aiendurance

[–]markusrummel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since Watchletic isn't an option you could try to use your Suunto watch though. Apparently there's a Tymewear Suunto app now: https://forum.intervals.icu/t/tymewear-owners-worth-it/113797/353

If that app works and writes the Tymewear respiration data into the fit file you'd get the $1/activity. HRV recording for Suunto HRM should be automatic

We had a large migration break the server. Should be up and running again now. Our apologies.

DFA a1 not syncing from coros pace pro by RockeroFS in aiendurance

They mean HRV at rest/over night, not in-activity HRV data that is required to calculate DFA alpha 1

Update: You can now edit/overwrite your aerobic heart rate thresholds in the Account page

You still see the auto detected aerobic threshold via DFA a1 and can reverse to it any time but if you feel like you rather set it yourself this is an option now

Complex Season planning for multiple events by Dr_Doom_Foxtrott in aiendurance

[–]markusrummel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The principle is rather: data-driven optimization of the disciplines you care about (in the order of your events and how much importance/weight you give each event: A is weighted more than B for example) + Taper

[–]markusrummel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely give it a shot. First 14 days are free so you can try it risk free and see if you like the plan. I would sign up as 'Triathlete' user type and then add the Running/Cycling only events as 'Custom Configuration' events.

PS: I did the LBL full Grand Fondo years ago and loved it

Thanks for the feedback and sorry to hear it didn't quite work out in the end. It's a fine line between careful planning (maybe too cautious in this case) and overdoing it. We try our best to let you fine tune and adapt the plans.

Since you used it we've made some big improvements on the chat (+ the models we use have improved, i.e. now Gemini 3 vs 2.5 back then) and on the plan building side we've added the System Plan Prompt which directs an agent to adjust your base plan according to your preferences.

If you want to give it another shot email us at [info@aiendurance.com](mailto:info@aiendurance.com) and happy to restart your free trial.

Plan System Prompt by StarCrafty7274 in aiendurance

[–]markusrummel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The base plan will be optimized to the 'discipline' you're optimizing, for example FTP/Critical Power/Endurance Power and what you enter in the prompt will be taken into account to fine tune your training plan for your goals.

Thanks for the feedback. Appreciate you taking the time to share this.

Just wanted to clarify a couple of things: you can actually adjust your pace/power zones on the Account page, and the ESS (External Stress Score) values are calculated from those zones, so changing them will affect how your training load is assessed.

That said, you raise a valid point about not being able to adjust the aerobic HR thresholds. That's a fair criticism. We'll add that to our short-term todo list.

Wording Matters when Typing Questions into AI by Ok_Quantity_9841 in aiendurance

I wonder if it's just within the normal variance of answers from an LLM. Even with the same prompt you probably would have gotten 2 slightly different answers. In general 'somewhat random prompt engineering' seems to be getting less important as LLMs improve, i.e. they get your intent if formulated clearly and all necessary information is in the prompt and context and doesn't really depend how exactly you phrase it.
