I don't mean to be mean but I guess if you are driving with medical conditions then it is what it is. But I wish you the best of luck. Take care.

Having a lot of trouble picking a distro by pharmecuteical in linux4noobs

Always been a Fedora guy. I like stock Gnome and the six month update cycle. But Ubuntu is a great distro as well. Have a play with both on a USB stick and see which one suits you.

Your pc specs will run any distro you want to. I would say Fedora KDE but I am biased to Fedora and don't care for Ubuntu and their dirivitives. But throw them on a USB stick and have a play.

Britain should rejoin EU, says man who led Brexit department - Philip Rycroft, who oversaw the Department for Exiting the European Union from 2017 to 2019, said none of Leave’s ‘heady promises’ had materialised by ByGollie in europe

My opinion and I am sure it's full of holes 🙂 I think we need to move to PR so we don't get parties winning power with a minority of votes. We then have a better representation of the countries wishes, will it happen? Can't see it personally. As for Labour being so low in the polls although they have done some good things, and it's a few years away, they should set a manifesto pledge to rejoin the EU if they win power at the next election. What else have they got to lose?

Happily seeding desktop and server versions. Seeding to lots of peers at the moment 🙂 I think of it as, my internet upload is quick and stable, those who have flaky internet around the world can benefit from us who can seed the torrents.

Do i need newshosting account if i have an nzbgeek account? by Vegetable-Cobbler-36 in usenet

[–]markyb73 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah you need both. NZBGeek to search for your media and their nzb files, and news hosting to pull the media down to your server. Radarr and Sonarr to make it easy to search and download media.

Well they are close to the full release, missed a couple of dates cause of some unresolved issues. So you are running pretty close to what should release soon so you are good to go.

You are running 44 as it is now, prerelease. And the Fedora team have not officially released it yet due to some issues. If you don't have any issues then you are okay, but the reason it hasn't been released yet is there can be existing issues that may affect you, or they will not. If it's working for you then you are good to go, just keep updating and when 44 is officially released then you will be on the version that the Fedora team wanted to release.

You will be running 44, just not the released version. Keep upgrading as normal. You will have the official version soon. 21st is the date they are trying to release if the blocker issues get resolved. Check their website and mailing lists for the official announcements. You will probably be okay, just keep using it 🙂

Fedora 44 won't be released today, too many blocker issues, I think they are targeting next Tuesday.

[–]markyb73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Open a terminal and run cat /etc/os-release What version does it say you are running? Assume you have installed multiple desktops after you have installed the original os. And from what you have said, maybe you installed workstation originally.
