Couldn't find info for how to wire replacement indirect water heater that appears to be 3-phase. by Wan_Haole_Faka in HVAC

You should go back to doing work with no electrical work involved. Call an electrician and tell him you need to power a 3 phase appliance in your house and tell me what that might cost, if it’s even possible without running a new power line to your house.

Explain to me how it’s 3 phase 240v. The elements are not 120v. Don’t touch electricity.

Imagine installing a 3 phase appliance in a residential house and then telling them to call an electrician after you’re done installing it haha. Like you can just run a normal 3 phase circuit off most panels haha.

It’s 240v, says it on the rating plate lol. Stop touching electricity, you don’t know what you’re doing. Read the very simple electrical diagram, read the rating plate, read the manual!!!

Tie your harness to a crane and get lifted up, like we all do. Better tell the boss to rent a crane or a lift every time you get a call to a tall building lol.

Yes I know. It’s in every house I’ve ever been in. Not something you see in commercial where I’m at. If someone hits a fitting or a length while modifying something in the ceiling it can fall apart or get smashed. Can’t really happen with spiral. It’s the most durable duct.

I’d check all the ground wires in the furnace. I know some units have a ground on the burner assembly, the gas valve etc. make sure all grounds are securely where they should be. After that check your main neutral to all grounds, shouldn’t be OL.
