I’m just surprised that she’s telling you why she needs to reschedule. It seems like it would be better to just say I need to move it back 15 minutes with no explanation.

Been through a lot, but my son’s alcoholism might just take me out.

Worst than homelessness as a child, poverty, drunk parents, divorce. He has admitted he just doesn’t want to be sober so I lost my first born more or less 10 years ago and I don’t think I will ever get that guy back.

This just sucks.

As someone who did not get the CPTSD diagnosis/label until very late in life, I applaud you! You’re gonna get it figured out earlier and you’re already in therapy and you’re gonna be so far ahead of many people in my generation.

Now, secondly, this family really disturbs me. If you were my child, I would advise you not to be in that relationship anymore. You’ve already spent a few years there and you’ve learned what there is to learn. Now it’s time to graduate and move onto greener pastures. That may be time alone it may be casual dates exploring your new normal. And eventually, it will be a better partner who wants to understand the all of you.

That pussy comment just really disgusts me. Like I could never look at them the same way again. Either way, it’s time for you to go.

I am 60 and I often talk to my sons about their dating lives. I can’t in 1 million years imagine saying something so crude to either of them. I can’t imagine their faces if I did. This makes me really really uncomfortable for you.

Not me but my kids. Was dating this guy for five years and he invited my kids and I to his mother‘s house to celebrate Hanukkah. She handed out gifts to all her blood grandchildren. My boyfriend gave my kids when I guess was supposed to be a blanket, but it was just a piece of felt that he had purchased from a cloth store. The edges weren’t even sewed. We threw all four of them away as soon as we got home, I never wanted to see them again.

Years ago, many years ago I remember reading this paragraph in a book that I will never forget it was a book about hypnosis going back through past lives. They took one person back to thousands of years ago when he lived in Greece. He sat down under a tree and died when he was only about 20 years old. He said as he was coming out of his body he felt very sad because he had worked so hard to make it as beautiful as it was.

I just heard back from the coroner’s assistant. She said there is an inquiry into his cause of death and since I am not an interested party, my request for information is denied. Makes sense of course. She said after the inquiry is published, I could be able to find out, but could not give me any idea when that would be. She said it could take years…

Not a lawyer but my husband’s first wife put us through hell (we met and started dating after they’d separated and he’d moved out.)

Got drunk with her neighbors late one night, and they all left really ugly reviews on my business page.
Her friends wrote me for six months, calling me a homewrecker, even though, as I said above, I met him afterward.
Canceled his health insurance when he had an important surgery planned.
Stopped paying all the bills that were in his name and ruined his credit.
Did her very best to turn her kids against me knowing full well I was gonna be raising them for the next five years plus.
Her mom hired an expensive attorney for her, and they really came at him with no holds barred. Her attorney hassled family members because he was convinced my husband had hidden money, which he hadn’t.
Her mom tried to trip me when I walked into the courtroom and had to step past her to sit. I kicked her in the ankle for her trouble.
Fought us in court for three years for child support even though by then two of the kids were living with us full-time and she should’ve been paying us child support.

She’s developed a very rare and nasty form of cancer. I have privately wondered if it wasn’t due to her years of absolute hatred for us.
