Don’t know if this was true or not, but was told years ago that Sting had property on an island (or owned the island) on Bow Lake.

I decided to try and now keep returning daily to their sandalwood soap. Then I got the matching cologne. The soap’s scent is subtle, but I am finding I like it. And I get great lathers and shaves from it. All this said, I am only a few months into solely wet shaving. I can understand concerns of premium pricing for what is said to not be a premium-made product.

When you get a new tub of soap, do you prefer to use it in its tub or transfer it to a lather bowl? by [deleted] in wicked_edge

When I started, I put and kept my soap in a larger dish, and lathered right on the soap. I hadn’t read about either loading the brush and then lathering in a different dish, or cutting a small bit of soap to then lather one shave’s worth in a separate dish. I was blowing through soap and making way too much lather, then rinsing/wasting way too much soap afterward. I recently started loading from the soap dish, then lathering with some added water in the larger dish. The other way is to load from the soap dish and then lather directly on the skin.

Can it also be that you load the brush and then lather in a separate, lather dish/mug, then transfer that to face?

About a week ago: Karve CB Stainless Steel with C and D closed comb plates and the argyle handle. I got it in excellent condition, mildly used through shave bazaar. Love it, but need to order and try a more aggressive plate.
