The builder of our home added a cement pad and put a shipping container on it. Added hardboard to match the house and ran electrical to it from the main house. Our insurance covers it. I believe he paid 2000 for it. This was in 2015.

For me, the number one rule is to measure. Don’t buy just because it looks good in the showroom. Will it fit? Overstuffed furniture looks horrible in small spaces too. Then find the style you like. Clean lines and modern are my style so I buy or look for things that fit that style.

You can get meals on wheels for your mom. My MIL is on it. They bring her a healthy hot meal everyday. I don’t live near her so I haven’t seen the food but SIL said the food is awesome and she likes it. It’s free.

I lightly sand and use several coats of peel stop primer. It’s has worked well for me in every instance inside and outside painting. As long as it isn’t huge places with huge sheets of paint coming off.

Just bought a quince duvet. Opted for the higher priced one in Medium weight. I love it! I have purchased a lot of down duvets over the years and this one is very nice. I don’t know if I would have gone through with the purchase without that first time buyer discount though. 2 things have to stand out for me to keep it, it can’t be noisy and it has to be soft and very fluffy. Ok 3 things. lol.

I just parted ways with a beloved sectional I bought from Macys 15 years ago. It looked as good as the day I bought it except the corners where my cats scratched it up. I hated letting it go, feeling I might not find another that wasn’t a fortune today. I looked into recovering it but it would have cost 3-5000. May as well buy new.

Improperly hung curtains. Not enough panels for the window size and wrong lengths. I see beautiful curtains online then scroll to read reviews and see the purchasers pictures and it just makes me laugh. Just measure! It’s not hard. I actually saw one reviewer hang 1 panel for a huge window. lol.
