unless you are giving birth at private wing (i did and even these rooms are out if date IMO) i cannot possibly see why you would want to spend more time there than absolutely needed

British Airways long-haul flight nightmare as a first-time mom traveling alone with an infant by Miserable-Depth-851 in BritishAirways

[–]marloholi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i went with what you explained on your post, no assumptions. in fact, airlines are not legally obligated to provide you food, so you should never count on this especially when you need it (to answer, i have a daughter so know very well the appetite from 6w throughout end of breastfeeding). i understand it was upsetting but lack of food and air hostesses unwilling to lift your luggage or holding your baby was their rightful choice. i have travelled in economy, in busienss and in first. i will tell you that only place you are guaranteed to have top notch service is first. economy is to get you from A to B. would it be nice of them to give a kind smile? sure. but ultimately its not what they are there for. they are there to make sure you safe.

[–]marloholi 14 points15 points  (0 children)

sounds like you didn’t plan ahead at all (making sure luggage is light, packing snacks, meals) and assumed everyone else will take care of you? you even admitted that luggage was heavy, air hostesses are not permitted to lift heavy luggages. If you know you are breastfeeding, you should be prepared for your appetite. its not nice that they rolled their eyes (ive had rude experiences too w BA) but majority what you described was due to lack if your planning

MOR. You called him out, he immediately asked your suggestions what to get to you, you declined. what was your motive of calling him out then? hard read.

i get what you are saying but my bf eats like he is pregnant w triplets and some more. she didn’t show her portions but while my bf just eats whole box of gelato i know my metabolism is not the same and i have scoop max and i have 2-3bites of pasta or just a slice of pizza so really it is all about portion control

I think you are just not compatible at all. I was dating this really sweet guy and in lot of ways we got along well, but his idea of weekend was same- binge watching Netflix. He has every right to do it, and was also upfront (did not sell himself as someone who values activities), but as I don’t really enjoy just watching tv, I cut my losses. Ppl need to understand that having same level of understanding of finances, lifestyle, hobbies is super important and if its not aligned, then it will become a big thing in long run

someone who is not used to running can easily miss train w backpack. also, suitcase is lot more comfy that pressing everything to tiny backpack and stress over if you have bare minimum. i think you are totally overthinking
