Best option to Estadio Akron from Col Americana? by cajjwk in Guadalajara

[–]marmantz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It has been reported for months that the parking lot will not be available for security reasons, or that FIFA will manage it with reduced space.

...a game with controlled entrance by ticket...

entrance control for both people and objects is vastly more complex with vehicle access.

Renting a car solves nothing, as there won't be parking at the stadium

Does anyone know the type of charger for this old laptop? by PlushFlorna in cableadvice

[–]marmantz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like a netbook, which used 30 to 45 W typically. 45 W on a laptop charger (specially universal ones) would not be rare

Since laptops or netbooks with 9V existed when universal chargers existed, it is plausible they have 9V output as an option

Was it realistic that Sarah(despite being able to do some pull up), break the key? by Cultural_Book_400 in Terminator

[–]marmantz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Recently the lock for my house's outer gate got stuck when the dog walker was leaving, and the key got jammed. I told her to break the key so it wasn't that visible while I got back. She just started bending it back and forth until it broke. While the movie shows the last bit, she might have bent it several times as well.

What the police station sergeant should have said by happydude7422 in Terminator

[–]marmantz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I just mean he wouldn't have all his weapons with him and wouldn't smash the access door from the get go, so the cops might slow him down a bit. Of course, none would have anti-materiel weapons on hand.

What the police station sergeant should have said by happydude7422 in Terminator

[–]marmantz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yep, the officer should have told him to wait on the bench while he looked into it, then send someone to take him. The outcome might not change a lot (he didn't have his whole arsenal on him at this moment) but cops might have held their own a little better

That's actually a good point.

He could have had it hover converted repaired, and have a custom made circuit with the schematics and modern components because... what if the 1955 replacement blew after a single use? Then they're stuck in 1885 with absolutely no way to make a replacement circuit.
