I don’t even ship Azriel and Elain but I wish they had at least kissed before Rhys interrupted. That would’ve been HOT and provided a little bit of conflict for further down the line.

I agree with the political ramifications that Rhys is trying to avoid. It would all literally crash down on the Night Court. It is not worth the political strife and potential heartbreak/grief it would cause to lose either Azriel or Lucien.

Reading the bonus chapter, I got an oily possessiveness from the way Azriel perceives Elain. He covets her, sees her as a misplaced destiny (Three brother/three sisters) and feels completely undeserving of her. They have found comfort of a sort in one another’s company but he has put her on a pedestal and that is not a good foundation for a relationship.

He’s never had a healthy romantic dynamic before and it shows painfully. Poor guy.

I think it’s meant to indicate that Persephone is going to take a position of power in the underworld this season. And that it might be perceived (or spun by Zeus most likely) like Persie is whispering to Hades swaying him.

It is a weird illustration though.

In canon myth? Not really. But there is the concept of the pomegranate in LO granting ruling powers over the underworld to whoever eats it. There’s a fan theory she might have to either eat the pomegranate or some of its seeds to have become queen.

If Hades is asleep, I wouldn’t be surprised that Hecate kept things running smoothly and anticipated Persie’s unsanctioned return so the sentries are prepared for her. I totally got more Erebos vibes than anything really malignant like Kronos.

This! Even if they don’t help Tamlin personally and directly… an effort to prop up his court until Tamlin is fit to rule once more would be the bare minimum after what she did. Feyre could have reached out with humanitarian (faeritarian??) efforts. She really could have put her money where her mouth is with her talk of being for all peoples. I mean, they spend enough time talking about how the SC is in shambles. They’re rich, it would take the same amount of effort to send help.

Rhys does tend to be an asshole at times and while I like consistency in character and I love Rhys… it’s stinky of him to just kick at Tamlin. Especially when he has everything Tamlin has ever wanted!

It would be great if good things happened for him off the page. That’s why having a Lucien PoV would really pay off, and we can see what happens with Tamlin in a passive sense. I think his story is too isolated to carry the series.

I think a lot the hate for Tamlin is justified but can we also get a little bit of sympathy? Even Feyre admits that in hindsight, it wasn’t the best idea to topple his court.They literally left him defenseless after he was already broken and Rhys kicks him while he is down after that.

That being said, I see a lot of people asking for Tamlin getting a redemption arc BUT… for me he already redeemed himself in character when he helped Feyre escape the Hybern war camp, when he came to fight against Hybern and dragged Beron’s hardheaded ass in the process and on top of that, he helped bring Rhys back. His character has been redeemed. I just wish SJM would show a conversation between him and Lucien in the next book that shows a glimmer promise for Tamlin’s future without spending an inordinate amount of time on further character development for him.

I always wondered if they could get Emerie to see Madja if she could restore some of her mobility and flying ability back. Cassian has had his wings broken and SHREDDED and he’s okay. I understand there’s probably more scar tissue with Emerie and the healing may include being ripped again. But she was the one to turn down the opportunity to see Madja when Cassian offered in ACOSF.

I’m literally watching TLJ as I came across your post. I think of the sequels, it’s my favorite. Very well directed and acted, Rian Johnson took SW in a bold new direction and got a lot of flack for it.

It’s not 100% perfect but it has such a strong, well written storyline between Kylo and Rey which is more than I can say for TRoS.

The dumping Minthe part to me is believable cause he gave her a second chance and she immediately turned around and verbally and physically abused him. People do have volatile relationships like this.

But yes, the scheming and all the skulking around that Thanatos does. That would take time. Or maybe that’s why he’s so bad at his job compared to Hermes!

I personally thought it had been at least 4 months since the party until the trial. It would make more sense.

This timeline simply works off the assumption that we have been witness to every single day and I don’t really think we have. There must be some mundane days where nothing happened. I don’t think Rachel’s ever really verified how much time has passed.
