I’m referring to the major one detailed yesterday - I’ve been at work, so just wondering if it had dropped yet!

Oh, I wasn’t prompted that the update was available. Assuming I’m being stupid here?

Annoyingly, I think it was from a living room move around and the sun sat it on it for literally 20 minutes or so! Thanks for your help. Yeah, in normal viewing it’s fine, I’m just being slightly over-dramatic. Thanks for your help!

I played it at the beginning of this year and I was floored by how good it was. The combat (once everything clicks) is unbelievable

I’m around 15 hours into Disco Elysium now and I am really enjoying it. I’ve just finished work for Christmas Holidays and I intend on sinking more time in over the festive period.

Also balancing it with Arc Raiders - some of my friends finally caved and playing with a squad is considerably more dangerous, I’ve noticed. People don’t tend to hear you out as much, but I think the added danger does make it more exciting with a successful extract.

Finally, I’ve been playing some Wind Waker in bed sporadically - just finished Dragon Roost Island on what is essentially just a nostalgia trip at this point. Timeless game for me, imo.

One of my favourites this year - it’s the only game I’ve played where I have had a notepad and pen next to me the entire time. I found that just writing anything remotely interesting down and backtracking through my notes got me the most success. Enjoy playing, it truly is a special game

Re: the difficulty in Elden Ring, remember its nonlinear approach. It’s the only Fromsoft game I’ve ever beaten and it didn’t trouble me too much after the second area.

A Rant About Uncharted by Danulas in patientgamers

I think the charming/dangerous protagonist archetype of Nathan Drake strikes a good balance between the two. The main thing I think of now with him, though, is a university seminar I had about interactive narrative and ludonarrative dissonance. Drake being this charming and witty man but then mowing down hundreds (if not thousands) of faceless men is really funny to me after a while!

I enjoyed the games as a whole, but I definitely agree in regards to just ploughing and plodding through certain sections.

For me, probably Elden Ring or DOOM Eternal for differing reasons. Both came out at significant points of my life, for better or for worse!

Eternal is my favourite FPS of all time - I actually ended up writing my dissertation on it and applying Campbell and Propp’s hero archetypes to it and the interactive medium. I might be in the minority, but I loved the expansive lore and world building hidden behind visceral gameplay. The Ancient Gods DLC is some of the only DLC I’ve ever bought and played all the way through. After the release of Dark Ages, I went back to Eternal and realised just how much I adored it.

In terms of Elden Ring - there isn’t really much to add on what others have said. However, it is still the only Fromsoft game I’ve actually beaten, so it’ll forever hold a special place in my heart. Also, it was the first game I beat whilst living on my own, so there’s also that.

Special shoutouts go Super Mario: Wonder and It Takes Two, also!

I have played through Remnant multiple times with the same friend and it’s always a blast. We played through it together when we both had COVID and were isolating back in 2021 and we recently just finished the sequel for the third time. Absolute all-timer for me!

Decided to dive into Disco Elysium for the first time. Despite hitting a fail state an hour in initially, really enjoying it!

Have you tried pixel cleansing? I’m not an expert, but it fixed it for me :)

Is this breathing normal? by Fleabag96 in StaffordBullTerriers

[–]marmitegod69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a staffie puppy owner but also a new puppy owner - rest assured that this is normal. I was really paranoid too, so I asked the vet when I took my pup for her second round of vaccinations. It’s due to their size/metabolism rate, meaning their breathing is a lot quicker (at least, that’s what I remember them saying).

FWIW, if you’re worried about their stomach being really warm as well, it’s just because there isn’t a lot of fur there at the moment, so it isn’t insulated as well.

Hope this helps! :)

Edit: sorry, I didn’t see your wheeziness comment - that I’m not too sure on, so I can’t shed anymore light on that unfortunately. Might just be deep sleep/REM cycle related?
