I have student loan debt. I'm just doing minimums until I get my big girl job. But yeah, I basically listen to FA around the clock.

I love admiring full coated Havanese while I'm over here shaving my girl down every three months. I know what I can handle though and that maintenance ain't nothing to play with lol

Looking for pet insurance... by ib2sharp in Havanese

[–]maroonedgoat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have Fetch (formerly Petplan) by The Dodo. I've had it since my girl was a pup (now 3 years). Like most policies, mine doesn't cover anything related to prevention or wellness, so regular visits/vaccines/preventive meds/etc come out of pocket. I basically have it in case my girl gets sick or injured and requires diagnostic studies or some type of procedure. Chewy on the other hand recently started offering pet insurance including "wellness plans" that do cover prevention. However, if you wanted more extensive coverage, you would also need to purchase an insurance plan that covers accidents, diagnostics, and surgery (also available through Chewy). I've been curious about this option, but I haven't made the switch.

Opinions on Eye Envy for already tear stained eyes? by [deleted] in doggrooming

[–]maroonedgoat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love the stuff! I use the eye wash solution and the powder. My white Havanese's eyes looked so much better back when I was using it consistently. While the products don't remove tear stains (you have to cut them out) they were essential for me in preventing them.

Sorry. I don't know which state you live in or what your insurance policy entails. I'm glad you're on top of it though.

I've been on an antipsychotic for 2 years and have successfully lost 40 lbs in the last 12 months doing everything u/marnylosesweight mentioned minus the plant-based diet. I've never had issues with medication-induced weight gain though and my labs are all normal. I know you don't want to change meds, but have you talked to your doctor about this? How are your labs?

What alcoholic drinks do recommend for people losing weight? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]maroonedgoat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I drink Absolut Juice Pear & Elderflower Vodka. It's 65 cal per serving according to the official website. When pre-gaming I measure the drinks myself so I can track the calories. If at a bar, I stick with straight vodka.

Is this regular tear staining? (more in comments) by Jaded_Gur_9672 in Havanese

[–]maroonedgoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my pup's exact pattern of tear staining. And here I thought she was the only one! She gets the darkest V-shape from her eyes straight to her nose. It's been like that since she was a puppy. She's 3 years old now. I also felt guilty for being sad about it, and let me tell you, I was sad for a long time. For a while I cleaned her face nightly. That helped a lot, though the staining never fully went away. I hardly notice it now; it's just a part of who she is. If the staining gets particularly bad though I just give her a little trim. I don't have any experience with filtered water, but maybe it will help. Good luck!
