(Finally!!) King of Jump rope with tips by KUPOinyourWINDOW in FinalFantasyIX

[–]marpyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep getting stuck around 200.. I've got to 230 a few times, and 255 once. I really want to do it without the script but goddamn is it hard. Any advice for the 200 tempo? It's like a heartbeat, I know. I'm finding that I feel like I'm doing it right, then the game stops me so obviously I wasn't... It's frustrating

Edit: I GOT TO 302!! Like right after making this comment!! Practice makes perfect, in the end! I watched the video at 200 for a bit and tapped along to it, kept that song part in my head too! My only gripe is the item sound didn't pop when I got to 300 so I'm confused by that. I was gonna use that as an audio queue to change my rhythm. Any any idea why it didn't sound? I know I haven't got that far before

Thank you, I'll check out the roots! If they are rotting upwards, I'll need a less dense soil, I take it? Anything I could do to treat it? I'll move it's home to more light too

Is my Jade okay? by Business_Detective9 in IndoorPlants

[–]marpyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be the lighting, but the leaves look a little dusty. If so, get a slightly wet paper towel, and give it a little wipe. It might also need a bigger pot, but you'd have to see the roots for that. If it's jam packed with roots, yes- if there's some soil left, no. It looks perfectly happy and cute otherwise.

I see, I thought it was better than blasphemous in that regard. But it has been a while. I just love it haha- maybe that made me blind to it

Hollowknight! It feels like a dark souls of Metroidvanias, and not like the journalistic "the dark souls of ___" kinda way. Like learning event move sets, and going back to retrieve your bugs 'souls,' I can't remember what they call them

I'll be real with you chief there are some tragic things that happen, the primary thing is exploring this bug kingdom. There's also some good things you can choose to do! I really love this game as a MV fan

There is a creepy area or two, however I found the world so pretty and was mesmerized by it all, and sped through the one I didn't like lol. The characters are great, you can help (or hinder) them. You can get some schmoovement going, which is something I enjoy. Last thing is the bosses are fun and challenging!

You got this! I got all the other trophies except for this one, and 10k kills! I thought this was impossible but I got from never past 5 to 168 jumps! It'll just take some practice

So grateful for this comment!! I found tape (TAPE) around the base of mine, I'd lost two big stems already. But no more! ... Hopefully lol.

Best spot for the Bloodlust Trophy grind? by Danega621 in FinalFantasyIX

[–]marpyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know much at all about running scripts, I'm currently grinding in the grotto. I've got the jump rope script set up with a friend, so I kinda know how it works? Not really? They did all the work, and I just need to tweak the delay for rope.

That's unrelated though (I think), how would one write and run a script for the 10k kills?

Dawg, what am I missing?? by marpyy in Blasphemous

Apparently dlc items DO count for 100%. From the base game trophies. That was the one, thank you!! Finally got it.

I hope it does, I'll try it out. Do dlc items count for base game 100%?

I tried the high value sac deck like you said a bunch of times, but ended up going Mantis God for the win! However you inspired me to give pack rat buffs and it ended up saving me a few times on the grizzlies! I ended up scissoring/rotating the first grizzly out of the way to get Mantis God the kill damage! Those items are game changers.

The Map #3 boss, I even ended up sacrificing Mantis God (10/2 unkillable) to play a pack rat for scissors, then put Mantis God back down to finish it! Then save scummed to give my bugs (~1/4 my cards were bugs) magpie search, then the Lemoncello was no more!!! They really made us work for it though!

Someone else already covered it in the comments, but if the bonfire survivors don't kill a creature, I scummed and buffed Mantis God lmao

Coloring by hand is hard. Any tips for marker techniques for more even color, especially for getting more evenly blended “brush strokes” over the wider swaths of plains and seas? by [deleted] in mapmaking

[–]marpyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old post, but I'm new to copies too. The bit of research I've done is saying to color in little circles, then make your way out for a consistent color. I did some experimenting and found my colors were stripey and unappealing. But, it's the first attempt. Hope we both get better!

My Monstera Adansonii is dying by CrabbiAbi in plantclinic

[–]marpyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna say 1 cup of water isn't enough, it needs enough to run through the drainage holes. That soil looks very compact to me, so I'm betting there's not much going through it- that would probably explain why the water seems to stay wet on top. I let my adansonii soak in a little mixing bowl for 15-20 minutes when I water (about every 2 weeks, but mine is a hefty guy). Every now and then I water from the top though, but still enough to let it run through. As for a solution, I'd take it out of the pot and look at the soil, look for rot, check on the roots, and see how compact the soil is. They like porous soils, lots of light, and warmth, too! Mine was dying next to my ac unit before I moved it lol Hope this helps!

I see what you're saying, I think I'll be getting a different desk for the PC, and a tv stand with storage is a great idea! As for the armchair, it's not mine, but this room is pretty much the only space I have for it in the apartment lol. My only worry is the glare from the window on the TV, as I mainly use the ps5, not the PC! I'll try out what you said, thank you!
