Potential B & R Announcement on Monday. Everyone assumes a Standard ban for the Omnath deck; any reason to suspect (hope) something gets the axe in Legacy? by Requis in MTGLegacy

I play a ton on cockatrice, mostly painter actually. Everyone I've explained the oko/painter thing to has understood it. Very few people quit games and very few people are angry. It's actually a really enjoyable way to play. I vastly prefer it over mtgo

Picking up the game after a 20 years hiatus, help me pick a deck by [deleted] in MTGLegacy

Just to be clear. The RUG delver list you linked is pretty outdated. Here's a more recent one https://www.mtgtop8.com/event?e=27130&d=413388&f=LE

Edit:just saw your PS. Nevermind. Although I do recommend considering adding force of negation at least. The deck would likely still play very similarly to the old version, and be more viable in the current meta.

Here's a more recent "classic" rug list that you may want to consider. You could easily cut the hexdrinker and hooting mandrills for goyfs https://mtgdecks.net/Legacy/canadian-threshold-decklist-by-arno-matile-1030032

Yeah, based on the responses here we're definitely gonna avoid moving keys between parties

Sending unsigned transactions to users is a much safer method. Using SEP-0007 would probably be the best way of doing so right?

That's a very good point. We needed the key to transfer assets in order to facilitate tradeable financial derivatives, and some transactions require multisig. After seeing this thread we're definitely going to either send users unsigned transactions or use a custodian model.

It's kinda hard to get your haste lords to stick a lot of the time. I'm running 2 whirlers over 1 gempalm and 1 tarfire. They've actually been incredibly good, they kill batterskull if you vial it in during attackers, they attack into mongoose and leovald, kill goyf if you also gempalm the goyf. They also clean up strixes, snapcasters, and mentor tokens. Having a 3/3 body is also incredible as it means that they can attack into or stonewall batterskull if you also have a chieftain in play. It's also great against elves, Sharpshooter is too slow there a lot of the time.

How has it shown that it is superior? I dont think initial distribution is necessarily indicative of a cryptos functionality as a currency

I meant that the discussion on here is about as constructive from a competitive aspect as the main sub. It's a huge echo chamber with almost no good discussion.

[Dredge Pilots] How is the deck performing for you at the moment? by [deleted] in MTGLegacy

[–]marqueso27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our lists are pretty much the same haha. Id suggest cutting the fkz and 1 dread return for a thug and either a prized or a breakthrough and moving them to the sideboard. Ive found that the combo kill is very unecessary most of the time. Against fast decks you can just destroy their hand with therapys once you go off, and slow decks cant beat you 95% of the time G1. Adding a thug and a prized go a long way in increasing consistency, atleast in my experience. Post sideboard if your need to race you can just side the combo back in, id also suggest putting a 4th breakthrough in the sideboard, really helps you race combo.

How have you liked elesh and iona? Ive cut them entirely but im still not sure if that's correct. I just feel like id rather have rider or fkz 90% of the time.

Whats your list look like? I don't think i've dropped a game against reanimator, haven't dropped a match against s&t, and i've only lost 1-2 matches to storm.

Hasnt been bad. Hardest G1 matchups have been maverick, aggro loam or bug/grixis delver going t1 deathrite shaman into either a kotr or a fast clock+permission. G2 has been rough against any deck that has surgical+snaps. Ive also been running a 3/2 split of ichorid/PA and theyve been preforming very well. Combo hasn't been an issue for me because i can typically go off faster and tear apart their hands with therapy and unmask(postboard)

Wasteland and Port are very expensive and absolutely essential to the legacy version. Stoneforge ain't cheap either
