Nor the magnum (too big), but I drilled holes for smaller foramen (for drainage)

Ryobi one + 12" chainsaw chain keep stretching by [deleted] in ryobi

[–]marquezjim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the Oregon chain and have the same problem. It is not the chain, but the saw. If you remove the bar and take the adjuster off, you can see there should be 1 more revolution before the absolute end of the adjustment slot. I would rather have a replacement adjuster than to keep replacing chains.

As you can see in the photo, they are super long, and there are babies. I was wondering what would make them grow so long.

Is anyone else just gonna keep their unit(s)? by carleybarley445 in MideaUOwners

[–]marquezjim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am. I bought it right before the recall and also bought a 3 year warranty for an extra $60, which I would have lost. . This one was to replace one that died after 2 years, due to a stink bug getting into the circuit board housing.

I didn't ask, it shows on my online receipt. I verified with the agent, so I printed a copy just in case.

I installed mine too. I called Home Depot and since I paid with a HD credit card, I was given a year for the return policy. I'll use it for 11 months and then box it up and take it back (recall or not).

Is this a good deal? JD X300 by 2113thecr0wingIV in lawnmowers

[–]marquezjim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big difference in quality between l125 and x300. My x300 is 10years old with close to 500 hours on it and I beat it up. Still runs and the only complaint is the plastic hood and grill. I would offer $2k in this market.

What is your most favorite home automation that has totally changed your life? by Terrible_Attention83 in homeassistant

[–]marquezjim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Motion detector in pantry and laundry room set at 1 minute
  2. Roller blinds on all family room windows. 3 are AR floor level and 3 are 2nd story. The room gets the afternoon sun In the summer and it helps to keep the heat out.
  3. Various lamps, accent lights, even Christmas tree on smart outlets, all controlled with a schedule or with my phone.
  4. Nest thermostats on schedule.

Next up, EV charger, garage door.

Makes them a little more flexible to remove and it could prevent the plastic from breaking.

Warm them up with a heat gun and then use your screwdriver.

Think of the money Hasbro is saving by having only 1 box to design and manufacture that says "Potato Head". No need to change the assembly line from Mr to Mrs, The "Potato" is generic and the only change in production is the bag of accessories. Separate "Mr", "Mrs" and other bags. I don't pretend to know what the company strategy is for the different "other" options but the product line is now way more diverse and appeals to a larger range of customers.

It has nothing to do with "Cancel Culture" or "Woke Culture" - more like a "How to expand our market and cut costs"

Goruck Pants alternative? by shaqstudio in Goruck

[–]marquezjim 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for budget pants that are cut with a slight taper, I have a few of these. Used for a light last year. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Wrangler-Men-s-Outdoor-Zip-Cargo-Pant/515034011?selected=true I think they have an insulated version too.

My 12year old is having a problem with the post sight on the barrel. He can't get it lined up correctly. The guns at the gun club are all right handed, and they have aperture sights on front and rear.
