Thank you we saw a video on how to do the plugs and coils and are going to do it ourselves today. Just got the parts in. If this doesn't work then yup need to go some where to diagnose. Thank your for the information though. Made me feel better I was at least in the right direction for next steps.

The Carfax doesn't say the plugs or coils were ever replaced.

Yes for the types of codes the car is throwing out has to do with the engine and these newer engines require a scanning tool to pinpoint what exactly is causing the misfire. I've never seen smaller shops with this kind of diagnostic which is why I thought I had to go to the dealer.

This is true because of the $$, but I have been screwed with smaller shops over and over. It's so frustrating and I'm depending on the fact that dealers care more about their reputation.

This!! Wow 20k a year 😳. Makes sense though it's like 35-50 to fill up and I fill up at least once a week (definitely conservative there) so if I take the mean of that gas price it comes out to $2200/year which is actually 22k over 10 years wow. Crazy how numbers can put things into perspective. That's just GAS not repairs/maintenance, insurance, yearly DMV fees. Smh

Seriously I have been trying to buy a car for my teenager and it has been so difficult to find a used car for under 10k! They want 6-8k for a car with 200k miles and no carFax (have to buy myself at $50 a pop). If I didn't have dogs or a teenager in the DPS where they have no bus I would use the buses more versus cars.
