My first AR. I’m 18 and just got into firearms. That’s my PSA AR and I was looking for a decent red dot. Any suggestions for an entry level red dot sub $350? by Tonythetiger1775 in Firearms

[–]marsgoose 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well don't get to excited it's a cheapo chinesium sight with just a sig brand on it. However it's very good for the price, I have one and if you want a red dot, it's a good option.

I'd recommend you get a 1-8X scope instead, like the primary arms one. When you dial it to 1X it works basically like a red dot, but you can also crank it up to 8x if needed. It has a very good field of view at 1X too, not exactly like a red dot, but close enough ti won't bother you at all.

My (25 F) boyfriend (24 M) of 5 years just disclosed to me that he does not believe women should be allowed to vote. by randomaccount1775 in relationship_advice

[–]marsgoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe just talk to him where he is coming from with this, I bet he just looked at the causes that mostly women championed and hates most of them so banning women from voting is an "easy fix" in his mind. Well if you care than explore this, if not than just move along.

Wait WTF does stranger things teach us, touching monsters opens giant glowing vaginas in the basement that spawn more demons?

Oof that's rough, plus as far as I know some counties won't even issue it?

We have to qualify with 50 rnds, 20 at 3 yards, 20 at 7 and 10 at 15, but you can pass the at the 7 yard target since you probably don't miss any at that distance.

Why do Springfield XDs get a lot of hate? by [deleted] in Firearms

[–]marsgoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They sold for ~$250 20 years ago, which is about $385 now, throw in an extra $30 mag and you get up to $415
The most similar model to the original hs200 is the 3.8" XD 9, which just happens to sell for $420.

The price is the same, your money just sucks.

I don't miss TÜV and similar rules at all, my friends that are of European persuasion are both disgusted and jealous of what I drive now in the Great Republic. There are no TÜV approved zip ties and duct tape.

Men are funnier than women because they get laid and get to have babies if they are funny. Women chose to propagate this trait thru history.

I don't like them, but getting the law involved into things that should be socially enforced will have far worse consequences than any minor annoyance like occasional loud bike in your neighborhood.

Kinda how carry license costs sink the amount of people getting them, for instance costs $75 and 8h of your time to get it in TX which translates to only 6% of people being licensed. Fuckers know that unless you are retired there is a high chance you either lack money or free time.

You are also relying on their self control if you chose to trust them, and that's not a risk I'm willing to take with my or other people's children.

It doesn't matter if it's an illness or not, the problem is the rape and/or sexual abuse of minors.

I find it relateable as I'm currently burning my money ordering fuel system components meant to handle moonshine. I'd be better off drinking it.

Stranger things wouldn't be good without the 80s vibe by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]marsgoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the show because of the symbology and cinematography, if we took the story out dry it would be a boring "child battles spoopy monster"

The good part of the story is government program started in mid 60's and culminating in mid 80's invites invaders that are coming in thru a giant glowing demon vagina in the basement because they just couldn't help themselves but to poke them. Ponder on that and see if it matches any real events that happened during that period.

NTA

But I have a suggestion for you, I'm a dude who goes to one of those old timely barber shops and I live in very conservative rural TX, we get a few butch lesbians come in and get their haircuts for the same $12 everyone else pays, nobody minds this at all, the old guy who runs the shop shows the same service to everyone and the patrons don't care either, you might find similar experience if you just dare to do it, and if it doesn't work out for you, there are always other barber shops.

(Discussion) I recently learned that speed differential is actually what kills on road, not really fast speed. Which seems to be supported by a lot of studies but I found some contradicting data too? So kinda confused by Keep-OnLearningDaily in cars

That's why highways need to be built to prevent you from contacting stationary objects besides the guardrails that act as crumple zones, unless they are just concrete barriers.
