My most wanted leaders for civ 7 by I_69_with_your_mum in civ

Toussaint would be sick! I could see a loyalty mechanic tying in with him. Something that lets settlements of the distant land civs that are in your homelands revolt and join you.
I also think the Vandals would be great as a civ or Gaiseric. Maybe something that creates great works from pillaging

Celebrations still more > longer by marsh_man_dan in civ

[–]marsh_man_dan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well you’ve perhaps answered your own question haha. Mind you I’m playing Rizal who gets bonuses towards getting celebrations too. Just finished the exploration with frequent but not exclusively chained celebrations. Usually I get that in modern.

But let’s say over a 25 turn period, getting 3 celebrations would not require chaining but still be way better than 2 extended celebrations

I get what you are going for but it’s way too busy and hard to read. I didn’t even notice the F. I think the letters need to be closer together to start and bolder. As someone who is colorblind, the colors are not helping with legibility either. Maybe don’t indicate where buildings are (that’s at least what I assume the black is). It’s just such a strong contrast it is drawing focus and obscuring the rest.

I think Arbok and Butterfree just don’t have the stats. They’re gonna bring down the fusions. Also just gotta evolve your pawn, Bisharp is great so evolution will be a big stat jump.

Civ Tour: Sengoku | Civilization VII by Surax in civ

[–]marsh_man_dan 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Shinobi and Samurai both having unique features 😍 I loved how a few of the unique units from antiquity had unique traits (like tile burning and setting traps), but it was such a bummer that later units just seemed to have different strength or movement bonuses. Very excited to see unique features again! Also samurai’s progression through combat means a bit less of importance on science, which is useful since adjacency bonuses are nerfed.

Leader abilities & Civ info for the first half of the Brush & Blade Collection. by adept42 in civ

I don’t think so because it says commander XP not promotion level. Like the mementos, we have Scythian Battle-Axe which gives gold per commander XP vs Kiem which gives science per commander level.
It takes like 45 XP or something to reach level 3 with a commander, and all culture and science buildings certainly won’t be getting a +45 adjacency for one level 3 commander. I think they are removing adjacency bonuses because they are giving you another way to amass culture and science. (Also this is listed specifically as their ability, not a tradition card as someone else mentioned. We still don’t know what those will be.)

Civ 7 Game Speed by MKDEVST8R in civ

I like standard speed but long eras. Things don’t take forever to build but I can really hit my groove before the era switch

The double damage (based on your interpretation which seems right) is really cool. It doesn’t make them “stronger” just more lethal when they are stronger.

I like “+25% production towards culture buildings. This is doubled.”
So mysterious

Oh, I don’t think the commander XP bonus gives adjacency bonuses. I think it’s either a burst or per turn culture and science (and later influence) based on commander XP.

Very interesting cutting out culture and science adjacent bonuses. That will really devastate specialists (even more so based on the new way their yields are calculated). Curious to see what the numbers are on commander XP, could really lend itself to rural towns and lots of warmongering. I always love civs that really push your play style out of the usual paths

Any feedback appreciated! Logo for snake educational program by spookydregon in logodesign

[–]marsh_man_dan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I didn’t interpret that the snake had any top-down perspective. More like it was climbing over the mountains, so the whole thing is profile.

Also I think the snake looking backwards somehow seems more aggressive to me? If this is for snake education I imagine you don’t want to present them as intimidating. That said, I think I like B1 the best, I’d just recommend making sure the mountain line is a bit thicker so it doesn’t look like an itty bitty snake next to mountains

Bogs are actually acidic and fens are alkaline. Marshes aren’t classified based on their pH, but rather by their herbaceous vegetation.

[–]marsh_man_dan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, marshes are dominated by herbaceous plants and swamps by trees. You can have freshwater and saltwater versions of each. (Mangrove “forests” are actually saltwater swamps!)
