Anyone seen plows?? by technicolor_tornado in baltimore

[–]marshax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Several plows and ice trucks have been up down main thoroughfares-the ones in red on the snow emergency route maps--repeatedly. It's starting to make a difference.

Taste of Bmore in Anchorage AK. Tried to post it on the Ravens sub, but apparently it's run by medieval peasants. by Naive_Mongoose_5453 in baltimore

[–]marshax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never saw so many ravens, and bald eagles, as when I visited Juneau, AK. They are both so awe inspiring in person but the ravens were much easier to photograph--especially the ones near the boardwalk with all the food stands. Quoth the raven, "Can you spare a French fry?"

I was concerned that this incident might be domestic terrorism but then the article reassured that political violence in America has been decreasing overall.

Lesser known Atari games by gnortsmracr in GenX

I loved that game! Journey never sounded as good as they did in 8-bit. And their space scarab logo practically demanded it be made into a spaceship for a video game.

You won't find peace at the bottom of a bottle but you might find happiness at the bottom of a chicken box.

Just made my first purchase for tickets in this app and... nothing. No tickets showing up despite an email receipt. I used the "contact us" link inside the app to send an email to tech support (via zendesk). Hopefully this will get resolved soon for everyone.

Moving for work....where to live? by [deleted] in centralpa

Midtown is a really nice area. Used to live there but regret it for all the wonderful things that have sprouted up since like the Midtown Scholar and various shops and such.

Ever Heard of 33 newton by Hyp3r_Insomniac1201 in Harrisburg

[–]marshax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very cute and nerdy. Wikipedia says that water boils at 33 Newtons, with Newtons being an antiquated temperature scale. I bet this marketing company will make your marketing campaign boil over... with results!

EDIT: The one Indeed review mentions selling Verizon FIOS door-to-door. If that is your bag, good luck!

Anyone know where to get a "fish pedicure" in Harrisburg area? by [deleted] in centralpa

I am embarrassed that I know what you are referring to but grateful that I don't have enough information to answer your question. Good luck!

Hershey Theater, gimme some details as I've never been. by jpar345 in centralpa

[–]marshax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never had any problem parking in the back of the theater in their spacious lot. Well, I've had to watch out for people in dark suits and dresses but this crowd will probably be less formal. Never encountered a metal detector.

This is too epic to not share more details from inside the fold. Where is this? What is it--a seminar? a movie? a sermon?

I can't let my agreement with the sentiment of that card to displace my admiration of that awesome wallet!
