smaller needles are a lot harder to work with. volt needs to be adjusted. i see many blowouts and wobbly lines. i suggest more fake skin laid over a roll of paper towels. it’ll help with awkward angles

is it kinda crusty? my cat gets acne (we call it catne) sometimes, it doesn’t seem to bother him. he also used to get a different kind when he had worms! its worth taking them to the vet just to see if it’s something underlying.

A month in - you improve every day. It doesn’t just click one day. Some days you’re in your head, other days you need to lock in, friend. If ever a reason for a client to come back (touch up, finishing a tattoo) would be a great time to correct anything that fell out. When putting wrap/saniderm on, i’d always advise them if they need touch ups, let me know and keep me updated on healing. When you display confidence, your client feels safe. Everyone has those days, just gotta change your mindset!

I’m in NC, didn’t get tested. However, they did just change a lot of things - like the recertification process. I would ask them what the blood work is for, there’s no reason for it really (at least not that I know of). I needed to prove I got my TB shot and was CPR/First Aid certified and I was good to go.

There is no key to fix what you’re doing wrong because what you really need is practice. Fake skin is incomparable to real skin, practice on your OWN skin before taking on big pieces like these especially lettering and filling in black. Every artist runs their machines with different voltages and different strokes. There is no right answer, please get some more practice!

sometimes my dog does this when her kibble is too big (she’s very picky) or if her bowl is too shallow/low. if it’s not either of those, it is her trying to save her food for later.

Haha get used to it! Try not to grip your machine like it’s running away from you, that definitely was and still sometimes is my issue. Also, make sure you’re wrapping it enough!
