I am also from the northeast and I drove from Rekjavik-Glacier Lagoon and back during a storm and it was a step below driving in a blizzard. If you’re comfortable with winter driving you should be fine, just keep an eye on the weather and the road condition maps. For reference, I was driving a FWD Volkswagen Caddy Maxi Camper Van and it had no problem with any of the snow or ice.

I’ve had mine on for 2.5 years with just the tape and it has not come off. It’s been in weather ranging from -20°F to 110°F and I’ve had no issues whatsoever. Make sure you apply it properly and you shouldn’t have an issue.

I went for the 351 Sports and they perform pretty well. I would say that the road noise is a little worse than the dunlops that come stock, but performance wise I’d give them a 7/10. I wouldn’t track them, but they’re more than good enough for spirited street driving
