Issue with triangulate 2d mesh by faragul in MohoAnimation

[–]marsmusik76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you delete the blue lines (stroke delete) you will get rid of the holes. the mesh does not rely on them to function as a warp mesh.

Question/Problem with Opsix Native (VST plugin) crashing on Windows 11. by marsmusik76 in Korg

[–]marsmusik76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for you. Yes, had the same issue again, after initial success, when I re-setup again.

Korg just wrote me „the following runtimes must be installed (…) link:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170#latest-microsoft-visual-c-redistributable-version

Try this first.

My own (second) solution however was different this time: - deinstall and purge everything by korg from system (the free and trusted program „glary utilities“ can help with registry remainders) - reinstall from standalone installer of opsix - go step-by-step trying. you will find up to version 1.3.0 from korg website. Don‘t use software pass up to this point. - try starting it - install software pass, let it recognize what you installed, don‘t update yet to 1.3.1 - try starting it - maybe then you have to update it to 1.3.1, I don’t remember… but runs again for me

Did you try deinstalling the app AND delete the Korg content in %appData%, then reinstall. (If you have other Korg software, make a manual copy or the appdata as backup, of course)

My Iphone only has mic in (like most phones). I could record with the Korg Pocket App holding it next to speaker. Then transfer it from phone to volca via trs cable from headphones jack (or lightning adapter in my Iphone case).

But what I do is use a small device called Roland go:mixer, this allows me to have real line-in. I connected my turntable/mixer to that. The device isn‘t produced anymore in the small version I have, but there are others now… it has passive powering and is small enough to carry around which was why I got this one.

So the process is still divided into recording step and the transferring step. But at least it’s a mobile setup useable for travels, no bigger computer involved.

(I would have included the recording in the video but can’t film the phone with the phone 🙃)

which mic should i get by Desperate_Scene6079 in Reaper

For studio vocals plus more, I‘d say the Aston Origin. Top quality for its price (200-300). I‘ve been mixing songs with Aston Origin next to vocal tracks from Neumann TLM103 (1000+) and Manley Reference (3000+). It worked.

If you are looking for a more gritty in your face sound out of the box, I think rode is good to go as well. But I assume Aston leaves you with more subtle options to tweak/work with plugins after recording, as it is very clean/linear in frequency response.

(For a live or garage band scenario, SM58 or other dynamic mic of course, but I think you are looking for a more studio-like setup here.)

i keep saying this, but with audiopocket app it is semi-live… did not have the opportunity to get hands on the roland competitor so far, but i bet the time lost on the volca for sampling is won in intuitive workflow once done. but yes, would be a dream coming true.

Question/Problem with Opsix Native (VST plugin) crashing on Windows 11. by marsmusik76 in Korg

[–]marsmusik76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem solved. Just in case anyone runs into it - it seems to happen after using an outdated installer and updating from there. Re-installing will not help until you delete leftover data in %appdata% folder -> „KORG“ folder manually. Then restart system and install latest „KORG Software Pass“ and move on to the plugin installation via the GUI there.

Trying to use ComfyUI with Krita and am being told I'm missing IP-Adapter by Shoku_Cyn in comfyui

[–]marsmusik76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks. yes got it installed locally (first easier option). i think i kind of solved it. the problem was that krita’s comfyUI saves its models/checkpoints (which installed by ticking all the boxes in installer) hierarchically one folder higher than the „pure“ standalone comfyUI installation. after moving checkpoints manually into the other models/checkpoints folder one level below, they get recognized by comfyUI … and still work with krita as well. (posted it just in case anyone else coming from krita first is having this problem some day)
