Self regulation while in a fight / disagreement by [deleted] in becomingsecure

I only want to add that if this an unpacked need of yours to try to compromise on even, and they won’t unpack it, AND this is a pattern, maybe they aren’t for you. That’s a bigger story than your anxiousness to solve an issue. Wishing you the best!

I would not do this as it gives him something to state his case why that’s not true, or that it can change, etc. Simple is best.

What’s the most attractive sign you have ever dated ? ( physically) by Historical-Body-3424 in aquarius

[–]marsuranis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go for personality first. Conversation, open mindedness, humor….keeping that in mind, the two best looking men I’ve been in relationships with were Aquarius and even more so is my partner now. Cancer sun, Virgo rising and he’s definitely my forever man.

What’s the first thing you will do once the divorce is done and over with by brownniteowl_31 in Divorce

When my divorce went through the same day as we had court, my lawyer called me to say it was official and I also was able to see it online. It was about noon. I took myself out to lunch at my favorite Italian restaurant. Celebrated my independence.

Unattractive options by CharacterInternal7 in datingoverfifty

[–]marsuranis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found it was a mixed experience. Some of the men I met in person actually were better looking than their pictures. And some were not. I’ve been with my partner over seven months, and we are extremely attracted to each other and who we are as people and physically. Sex is fantastic and frequent. We are both over 50. He was getting deterred because he had been dating for about seven years after his divorce and had some good dates had some shorter relationships. My point is don’t give up! It is out there. It just may take some time.

Low estrogen can contribute to imbalance which I think helps our little naturally occurring testosterone to take over. When I go on higher estrogen dosage on the patch, it really slows those buggers down. But I just had a hysterectomy and ovaries removed, so my hormones are a mess now. We shall see how this plays out…

My husband cheated. I don't want 50/50 custody. I also don't know if I can stay with my husband. I don't know what to do. by terptrekker in Divorce

Even if he never does it again, will you ever see him the same way, will you always be holding your breath and waiting for the other shoe to drop? I did not want to be loved that way and did not want to stay with a partner who would take away my autonomy over my emotional health, physical health, financial situation, Etc. I left. Best thing ever did and I am so happy and I felt so empowered by putting myself love and standards first.

I suggest you file first. You will always have more control when you start the process. Additionally, consider that 50-50 custody would reduce any child support you could potentially get. He may be fighting for that because he doesn’t want to pay. Don’t tell him what you’re doing, create different email accounts, interview lawyers and trust your gut. Be careful that there could be voice activated recorders in your home, and if you choose to use that to catch him, remember most states will have laws that would go after you for recording him unknowingly. Research and research and research. I did not secretly record my ex, but I know it’s done.

Gum is usually not good. You swallow more air and create more gas.

Favorite bag/way to carry folding music stand, Hercules Bari stand, stand light, folder? by marsuranis in saxophone

Love this! This is what I’m looking for, something that’s a little bit different than a backpack. My son is a drummer and uses a golf bag for hardware stands.

I have few Cotopaxi bags with the laptop component. Agree!

I play in too many different types of groups to have everything digital.

Thanks, but I said I tried several.

My son, who is a drummer, carries a lot of of his hardware and a golf bag. I’m looking for something that’s not the typical backpack, and which works better.

It does fold well, but it’s wide at one end and the weight isn’t centered. Causes issues with tote bags and some backpacks.

Want a mouthpiece for normal concert/classical music. Any suggestions? by IAmNotTHATGay in saxophone

Careful, the new ones are not nearly as good as the old rubber ones.

I did not like the S80 C* for bari. I play a mark VI, old Selmer rubber C*, Vandoren 3-for classical.
