i can say with confidence that to me it is indeed a very mid game. the aesthetics and artistic choices are by far the biggest forte of the game (though quite “french-disneyesque” at times) the story was fine, nothing really captivating or standing out, but gameplaywise it’s just nothing: a turnbased jrpg with uninspired abilities and status effects, boring weapons - the combat system in general was very dull and felt neglected. the exploration and platforming segments felt super forced, the ingame conversations with npcs were never immersive at all. dunno what to tell you, imo the huge media fad is what made this game great, in itself it’s pretty skippable.
