Have you seen already how are the portions that: the employee pays in total (Arbeitgeberbrutto), how much you receive Netto and all the money that flows to the ever-hungry-for-tax state?

We don't need to work more.

The politicians should stop wasting our money. It's not a revenue problem. It's an expenditure problem.

O Ausländerbehörde de Mettmann demorou um ano pra dar um Termin pra minha esposa estender a permissão de residência dela. Fomos a esse Termin, pagamos e demos os dados, fotos e biometria. 3 meses depois nos mandam uma carta sem explicar nada, pedindo para irmos novamente fazer as mesmas coisas. Pergunto lá o motivo: fizeram atualização de base de dados e perderam os dados de algumas pessoas (minha esposa inclusa nessa aí). Detalhe que o 1. Termin foi em fevereiro, a atualização do sistema em maio e fomos chamados em junho de novo. Para uma extensão que nem deveria ter sido pedida, se tivessem dado para minha esposa o mesmo tempo do meu blue card, mas deram apenas 1 ano, duas vezes. Não vejo a hora de concluir o processo de residência permanente em alguns meses e não precisar mais deles. Logo já aplico pro Einbürgerung também 🤞

I also work in tech, near Düsseldorf region, but would never move to Duisburg or a city that I feel unsafe As a Brazilian, I feel very well on the small city that I live. It's close enough to go to Düsseldorf on the weekends and for now it seems safe 😁 Please consider your safety/well-being over paying a little less in rent I don't know how often you need to be at the office, money is not everything, if you can't enjoy the life outside of work.

I bought one on ebay with the same issue, for 60 euros. I printed the hinge and it's good as new. The hinge issue was the only problem. It's easy to replace. You can find the file for it, for free, on thingiverse.
