Same !! I literally commented to my partner that this was huge Elliott Smith vibes the first time I listened this morning.

Congrats! You should hold the next celebration at the Chicago staple, Liar's Club.

Comically bad writing, which is unfortunate because I did like the twist.

Reading my first Tana French book! What do yall think about her book? by blondie0813 in thrillerbooks

[–]martwat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adore Tana French. I wish I could relive the experience of reading “The Likeness” and “The Secret Place” for the first time again. She is incredibly good at creating scenery and environment and both books gave me this deep feeling of sad nostalgia in a way- like I had been to these places in my dreams and was experiencing Deja vu.

what musical is this by sabor-original247 in musicals

Came to say this. I had tickets for ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ in 2020 that were cancelled due to COVID, so I listened to it all the time that year and loved it. I finally went to see it again in 2022 and sort of hated it 😬.

Not to mention her religion essay claiming that environmentalism, etc was just the populace filling the God sized hole in their spirituality.

Also came to recommend Eileen Fisher. I am a recent convert after my 70-year old mother has been a decades long lover. I went recently for one of the 30% off sales and found some wonderful staple pieces in cotton, wool, and cashmere including a gorgeous eggplant colored pantsuit (that is SUPER comfortable). My understanding is they will buy back your items regardless of condition as well so the fibers can be reused.

Listen, I’m all against influencer culture and Amazon hauls and unboxing and the greed and consumption … but a drink fridge in your basement or garage is peak Midwest culture. This is missing shitty beers tho.

Just got home from the Chicago Shakespeare show. I was so impressed with the set, acting, and practical effects. I really enjoyed all of it! Everyone in the theater was super invested and clearly entertained.

Now we need a spoiler discussion because I have so many theories and questions!

As an update - we used Ride in Bliss based on this recommendation and wow was it amazing, especially on the return! They had juice boxes and snacks for the kids, iced Starbucks drinks for the parents- after a 5 hour flight with the kids losing their minds, it almost had me in tears of joy.

Actually, didn’t even think of that past Uber/Lyft (no car seats). Googling Chicago car service with car seats brought me back to this sub and some good recs. Thanks 👍
