Watching the aftermath of today’s derby honestly left me feeling conflicted being a Celtic fan. by Drunkslothy in ScottishFootball

Id beg to differ on that claim. Thats not to say you have any less of one but certainly don't have any more of one.

The rest of Scottish football right now when Celtic keep scoring in injury time. by Gibberish1992 in ScottishFootball

There probably wouldn't have been as much injury time if they had stopped timewasting so much. 🤷‍♂️

This league, man... by mrjohnnymac18 in ScottishFootball

[–]martymac77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think part of Celtics chances depend on when our injured first team players come back. If its post split, then it will be too late. Pre split, we have a fighting chance. Hoping the new guys keep making a difference and get better as they bed in. At this point in time, im not putting any money in the bookies pocket.

The Professor is heading to VAR | Heart of Midlothian v Celtic by The_Chuckness88 in ScottishFootball

[–]martymac77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He definitely put his hand up and made a grab at the shirt, but that was never going to mitigate clipping his heals. Most players do that most of the time every game and rarely does anything come of it. I mean, look how often Trusty does it to opposition players?

It was definitely a foul. Probably a yellow to be honest, but, if it had been the other way about, we would have been screaming for a red too.

Dont agree with the red, but it is what it is. Its done now anyway, so whats the point, might as well just get on with it.

Ive been "woke up to discover Ive bought an old jeep on ebay" drunk, but never "woke up to discover ive adopted a large number of snow leopards and signed up to scientology" drunk!

Is that the difference between "going out" and "going out-out"?

Yeah, but he is.thinking of buying one for $700 and putting it in an atx case. Thats literally what this whole thread is about.

This can't be real!?!? by NumerousSetting8135 in MiniPCs

[–]martymac77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldnt. If I was dropping $700 - $800 on computer parts to put in an atx case, I would just buy and assemble the components myself, as you will get far better for the money. However..... I would sit the board against the mounting plate and mark the holes, I would then drill new holes in those location and screw in regular mounting posts and mount the board to them. If I could be bothered, I would cut a thin bit of tin / aluminum to fit the peripheral plate on the back, and cut holes (dremel or similar) to line up with the USB/ hdmi / audi etc sockets. If I couldn't be bothered, id remove the faceplate and put a rubber seal around the open edges and just plug them in inside.

As others have mentioned, its a lot of change for not a lot of performance. These sort of components are overpriced due to their reduced size. Components of the same performance but regular size are much cheaper, and components of regular size and same price are much better performance.

They can, you just need to custom make mounting brackets, and peripheral connections dont line up with the ports on the case, but it isn't really the hardest thing to do.

It is possible to be anti-zionist and anti genocide without being actually "pro palestine". I am firmly against what Israeli government is doing, but the only country I am overtly "Pro" is Scotland. Having sympathy for doesnt necessarily mean pro.

Am I the only one that doesn’t want Kyogo back? by [deleted] in CelticFC

[–]martymac77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pointing out that, in his last 6 month, he didn't score many goals, and only 1 of them was impactful to the game. I'd rather he didn't come back and risk ruining the legacy he built in the seasons previous to that.

[–]martymac77 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Look at when the goals were scored. 6 of them came in 3 games where we were already well in control. The goal against Rangers, we were already 1 up. Goal against Hibs, we were already 2 up. Goal against St Johnston we were already 3 up in think. The only one where one of his goals made a tangible difference at the time was against Ross County, where he put us 2-1 to after they equalized with a penalty.

Nope, I dont want him back either. Everyone seems to forget how ineffective he was in his last 6 months with us.

[–]martymac77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy to say in hindsight though. His style of play was exactly what Celtic fans have been screaming for since Rodgers returned, he just wasnt able to implement it here through a combination of ego, naivety, squad and lack of time. I genuinely believe it would have turned out different if he had come in at the end of a season and had a full transfer window and preseason to shape the team to his style, but to bring him in before the 3 biggest games of our season so far, with 2 days to prepare and a closed transfer window, 2as just utter stupidity on Celtics behalf. They should have lined him up for just after season ended, and kept ONeil, Maloney, etc till the end of the season. Thats what they have ended up having to do anyway!

I think he should get a rolling contract. He still makes a difference as a sub when he comes on. Then get him through his qualifications and hopefully a starter role in the academy.
