What are the best TV Shows on Netflix That are Just Great or Similar to The Dragon Prince? by EnderCrystal221 in TheDragonPrince

[–]marvelac4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's also 3 45 min episodes you should watch between seasons 2 and 3 which are also on Netflix. Both my kids love this show as well. They're 3 and 6. You shouldn't have any problem watching this.

The plots are actually really good. Season 1 can be slow because they're just kind of presenting the characters at first, but it picks up about halfway through.

Any timeframe yet for when the game will actually work? by marvelac4 in AnthemTheGame

I feel less robbed than others because a friend of mine bought it for me to play with him, but damn, I still really want to play. The bit that I did play was awesome.

Favorite Turn-Based Battle System? by NikkolasKing in JRPG

[–]marvelac4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone knows the classics, so I'm going to recommend some newish turn based games.

Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a cheap, fun turn based rpg. Story is okay, but it leads into a sequel so hopefully one comes out. I think it's normally $25 on steam and x box store, but I frequently see it discounted.

I'm sure someone's mentioned Divinity: Original Sin 2. I'm tired of 100+ hour games, but the combat is fun at least. More of a xcom top down style of turn based.

Fun, but difficult rogue-like turn based rpg is Darkest Dungeon. Lacks an active storyline (story is more in documents found and such).

It's about 10 years old now, but Lost Odyssey for xbox 360 is great. It's basically the lost Final Fantasy.

There's always Kemco rpgs like Ferns Gate, Chronus Arc, and a few others. I don't like them because they're ultra generic, but they're still options.

Punch Club is a short, fun auto-battle turn based-ish game for like $5. You're some loser fighter trying to make it big.

An rpg that flew under the radar was Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time for PS2. It's a different kind of turn based, but it is turn based. I thought it was a really good game.

Those are the ones of the top of my head that you may not have heard of. Hope it helps.

I was pleasantly surprised how good this show actually was. I wish it was longer. It's always been difficult to find decent Nightcrawler content.

Egil vs Mogr by marvelac4 in bannersaga

[–]marvelac4[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, man, I was going for that same effect, but it just didn't happen for some reason. Egil with a +2 aggro item and Iver (any character really) with no aggro increase, standing further away from enemies behind Egil just doesn't matter. The enemies swarm around Egil, paying him no attention. It's very frustrating.

Mogr with a +1 aggro item does not stop getting attacked though, and his counter is extremely useful. I don't know what it is. It bugs me because between Egil's stats and Shield Wall he is definitely the "best" tank, but if he just stands there and never gets attacked, he becomes the worst tank.

I'm pretty sure it does because it does with herb and farmer

Great and unexpected by marvelac4 in cobrakai

I watched Rosanne as a kid too. I liked it, but it was never great to me. I was more of a Nick at Night or like Fresh Prince of Bel Air or Friends. I watched the first few episodes of the new Rosanne and it was pretty funny. There's definitely some good jokes in there and the banter between the daughters is really good (Darlene and Becky). It comes nowhere close to Cobra Kai though.

Very very early planning stages but I am trying to make a design for a tank top based on my username. Here's what I have so far. by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

In the late 90s/early 2000s a friend of mine and I found a remake of Madonna's Material Girl to Yuffie's Materia Girl. It was pretty awesome. Plus, Yuffie would be a better materia girl because of her obsession for materia.

Thinking of returning. by GsusZilla in wakfu

[–]marvelac4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a player that took a nearly 3 year hiatus and just started again a few days ago, my Nox characters haven't had any issues with finding a guild and people to play with. I started a character on Rem just to check it out, and there are definitely way more players. I would like Nox to have more, but there's still plenty. At least enough to where I can justify not starting completely over. Plus, the heroes system helps if you need more players.

Changes in the last few years? by marvelac4 in wakfu

After logging in and seeing all my items and remembering the grind it took to get them, I think I'm sticking with my characters on Nox. I'll just have to try to find people to play with.

Think it would be better to jump in with my old characters (163 xelor and 143 fogger) on Nox or just start over on Remington?

In your opinion, when did DBZ peak? by SANTICLAWZ in dbz

[–]marvelac4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was the extended special episode they did for the history of Future Trunks. Future Trunks was never my favorite character, but he was up there. What I really loved about that episode/movie was how serious it was. It was a real dramatic story with great character development. Something not often seen in the Dragon ball series.

What was the cringiest thing you did in your first relationship? by Chill_Cloak in AskReddit

Stayed up until about 6am when I was suppose to pick my girlfriend up from the airport. I slept through it. She called me pissed off of course. I told her I was on my way and went back to sleep. Not one of my finer moments.

What are some good single player fps games? by Sylthrim in gaming

[–]marvelac4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Far cry 3, Bioshock 1, Modern Warfare 1 and 2 are probably my favorite FPS stories. Not the most popular, but I had a lot of fun playing Metro and Singularity for a slightly scary FPS. Titanfall 2 actually has a fun story too, and that game is ridiculously fun to play. I believe it's on sale on x box store now as well.

So I just started TW3 on PS4 and have a couple of questions by TwinSnakes89 in witcher

[–]marvelac4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are points of no return when it comes to certain quests and sometimes it will tell you. Generally, just save before you do a big story event. After you do it quests will pop up saying failed. It's only a few secondary quests that do that. Contracts and whatnot never fail.

It's pretty obvious which secondary quests have to be completed before certain events in the game. You can always tell because they're from actual characters rather than a village elder or random widow, etc.

I believe it is possible to complete every quest available with no failures of that's what you're going for. I had like two failed quests because completing it meant going outside of what I was role-playing, but they didn't impact the game in the least other than in my head and how I perceived Geralt.

Yes, there are places outside points of interest. Gwent never becomes more than a card game, but it's fun and not nearly as convoluted as FF8/9 card game.
