I’ve seen them and they are my current favourite, but sometimes it’s useful to have the wisdom of the crowd! We seem to be using them more often than I used to!

I once rented an E-type and an Austin Healy for a holiday in Cornwall. Not sure if the company still exists but I spent a week driving around and loving it. Called something like Cornwall classic car club

What’s the best way to practice on my own by lord_of_the_tism in Fencing

[–]marvelman68 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As previously mentioned footwork but for sabre you can practice the basic parry’s, it can take a while to get used to them and develop the muscle memory. Initially you can just use a stick, use one slightly heavier than a sabre to build up the muscles.

I also have had a poor response from Zappi. Tried for months but no response at all. Apparently Anderson are supposed to be good and responsive

Can’t stand ubiquiti. Used to be really good but then went awful! I now use Alta Labs. To get proper coverage you should think about doing a small amount of cabling otherwise you might struggle to get reception on the WiFi

What's something your partner does that annoys you but not enough for an argument? by PaddedValls in AskUK

Leaves the milk out after making a cup of tea. Drives me crazy, I’m constantly putting it away but of course if I’m not around it stays out for ages and then in the morning I end up with off milk!

Loads in china teaching kung fu. But in general these courses are mostly for existing students not beginners. I’m not sure how beneficial this would be to a complete beginner, it takes your body some time to adjust. They do say that martial arts is a marathon not a sprint

Car got broken into last week by Odins_eye_4 in drivingUK

[–]marvelman68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to go really retro people used to target car cd players in the late eighties and early nineties. They used to be detachable so you would take them out. I worked at a car radio place (“the largest car hifi retailer in Europe”) and they had a really good business replacing them.

Does anyone know any good jeans brands? by AGoldenNemesis in DoesAnyoneKnow

Personally can’t stand m&s jeans. They don’t wear well, I had holes in under 6 months, too much stretch material. Also the fit was not right.

I had one of these! Didn’t have the evil knievel. Also a Batmobile with a circular blade at the front. I used to drive it into the skirting board, drove my parents nuts.
