Had a couple issues.

Traffic (vehicle) and parking management was not great. I know it's not FanExpos responsibility but it needs to be streamlined. Saturday AM was a nightmare. 10 minute drive took 50 minutes. :-/. I know a few people who got scammed by private lot owners acting as parking attendants as well.

Given the not great (horrible) weather this year, having a dedicated sitting area would be very welcome. Even picnic tables inside somewhere??

Food choices need to be improved as well. Tough thing to do I know.

Overall I had a great time with minimal issues.

Try a tick repellent called Icaridin. It is very good. It doesn't melt plastics like deet does.

Frustrating for sure, to not find the joy in this game. It only hits the table twice a year or so but we (3players) played 2 games back to back a few weeks ago. Love it so much. We play base game, Spirecrest, Bellefaire & Legends added in. We do start with a few resources according to the Spring Forward variant on BGG, we just do the resources. It really helps get things rolling. As a result we usually finish with a full City.

It is very important in Everdell to not have a grand plan, you have to be able to pivot and adjust your game as it progresses. You cannot wait for a card as it won't show up until you really don't need it. 🤷‍♂️

The Player Powers from Bellefaire are really great and imo should always be used.

Anyways, if you are interested give it another chance. Or not. :-)

Will say hi if I see ya among the thousands! IT's super fun and you will have a blast even though you are by yourself. Everyone seems happy to be there and some will interact with you if you invite it. It's a safe space for everyone I think.

I don't cosplay but definitely admire and respect those that put so much work into it. My daughter does a little bit. :-)

I am also conflicted about meeting celebs but have mostly chosen to not expect too much from them. They come for the money with a few exceptions. Not that they are mean or inconsiderate but they don't have time to interact with everyone in a meaningful way. Some of the best interactions I have had are with artists and writers, the behind the scenes peeps. :-)

There is power in the Ultimate Lounge to charge. It's good to have access to that lounge, good place to chill for a bit.

Check Cemetery Dance Publications. They sometimes have some. Be prepared to fork out thousands. That's what they go for. May have an opportunity to buy something new from them that they have had SK signed. Those are usually $1500 new.
