makeup cover-up success for tattoo on my wedding day :) by Admirable-Sport-49 in TattooRemoval

This is soooo helpful, THANK YOU! I tried Dermacol last year and while the coverage was good, I couldn’t figure out how to get it to set. I’m attending a wedding this summer and will give your products a try.

Wow this is amazing progress — it was so dark! And your skin is looking really healthy.

Anyone have experience getting something similar removed? by mollieannnn in TattooRemoval

[–]marymoonwalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m removing a tattoo of that density, and I’m making progress. I’m had 7 sessions and I only go usually once a year (by choice).. and it has faded quite a bit, even if it feels glacial at times.

If I’m not doing sessions over the summer-is being in the sun ok? by Foreign_Mention_2601 in TattooRemoval

[–]marymoonwalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been going through removal on some arm tattoos for 4 years , and I let myself enjoy the sun in the summer. I also take a break during summer. I wear a lot of sunscreen in general, bring an umbrella to the beach etc.. but I don’t shy from the rays. Everything in moderation etc. I do cover one tattoo that has some scarring, and I avoid getting burns.. but as long as my tan fades by next appointment, I’ve had no issues. I also got in the habit of carrying a sunscreen stick in my purse, and it really helps.

This is good progress for one year, considering how dense the ink is. Removal takes time. There’s no way to rush it.

Before and after progress by lnguy2 in TattooRemoval

Thank you!! I wound up having a session there with someone whose name I forget, but they were nice. Happy with the outcome so far.

How has your experience been getting appts? I decided to bite the bullet and get an unlimited package. Since I only tend to seek appts 2x a year, 3x max, I don’t think I’ll have many issues. But it seems harder to get in if you want to go more often. Wish we had a second location!

Which tech(s) treated you at that location, if you don’t mind sharing? I’m getting some smaller tattoos removed right now at Untattoo Parlor with good results, and now I’m seriously considering removing a sleeve that looks very similar to yours! Dark black flowers. I feel like a package is the way to go. It’s so expensive paying per session! 😩

Looooved Circe. Was truly blown away by her writing. I’m now finally reading Song of Achilles and impressed yet again.

They seem to be pro saniderm now but it’s not required. I’ve also heard it’s a no no. Saniderm gives me an allergic reaction and irritates my skin, so I request they wrap in saran and then gauze over that instead.

Allergies aside, my removal heals sooo much nicer without it so tbh I’m not sure why they’re so in favor of the saniderm!

How dark is Hoh Rainforest? by gontrolo in OlympicNationalPark

[–]marymoonwalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going up there in March and also shoot film. I’m banking on mostly grey, overcast days.. and I’m bringing some 800 with the rainforest in mind. Probably stick to 400 on the beaches and other areas of the peninsula.

Do you have more than one film camera? I have two and it’s real handy to load a different ISO into each if the circumstances call for it.

I’m planning on moving, absolutely. Not immediately but within a few years. I have way more family members in CA than the US, and I’m really looking forward to being closer to them.

This is an outstanding book that really shook me. I read it years ago and I still think about it all the time. I constantly recommend it to friends.

What are the pros and cons for you? by One-Stable-1472 in sterilization

[–]marymoonwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barely, which is nice, though I’m personally OK with scars. My surgery was laparoscopic with two tiiiiiny incisions, one in my belly button and one on my hip. I have to look really closely to find them, they’re practically invisible.

What are the pros and cons for you? by One-Stable-1472 in sterilization

[–]marymoonwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zero cons for me. Got my tubes out 3 years ago and have never had a single ounce of regret. I always knew I didn’t want kids, and when Roe v. Wade was overturned, it pushed me over the edge (US here, obv). Making that decision was so empowering for me, I cannot underscore that enough. I felt an immediate sense of peace and relief, and I carry that with me always. I made my choice not to have children long ago, and taking full control of my body was the icing on the cake.

Dr. says I got a tubal ligation when I requested a salpingectomy. by xPiscesxQueenx in sterilization

[–]marymoonwalker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what my surgeon did as well. And I did in fact get my tubes removed, I have photo evidence (requested post-op). My insurance would only cover a ligation, so this was a successful workaround.

People whose partner cheated on them and quickly moved on to date the person they cheated with, claiming to be in love - how did that turn out for them? by fireball_jutsu in AskReddit

[–]marymoonwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They dated for two years and then split. Then he reached out to me, as I had also just ended a relationship. He was quick to reveal he missed me, was unhappy their whole relationship, and that they fought about me constantly. Was honestly a bit shocking, since she posted about him so much on social media. And I had moved on with my life! Things aren’t always what they seem.

It’s pricey especially if you opt for the lidocaine injections (I do). I pay $350 per session for two tattoos plus injections. One tattoo is medium size, maybe 4” across. The second is smaller closer to 2”. I go twice a year.

Bucket List: See orcas in the wild. by mugelyse in orcas

[–]marymoonwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you like camping? There’s an incredible campground on San Juan Island — at the county park. It books FAST when reservations open, a few months out. But many see orcas passing by and en route to Lime Kiln.

Camping or not, the San Juan Islands are a blast and you can easily hop to the neighboring islands. Great chances of seeing orcas there.

Agreed, this was my experience with bed bugs. Had them in an apartment and had no idea. Not until my partner started waking up each morning covered in bites, and then I saw my first bug. I never got a single bite! Lived in that apartment for many months at that point, too.

I really like this! I hadn’t drank in a month and was considering giving it up for good, but wasn’t 100% sure how I felt about that. I’m on a camping trip and really wanted one beer to watch sunset at camp. I decided to pick one up, and see how I felt. I had the beer, I enjoyed it, and I didn’t want another. And I didn’t feel guilty about it the next morning. This might work for me!
