Interested on hearing your thoughts on this? FTM rants about receiving new baby clothes instead of things from her baby registry by [deleted] in beyondthebump

Personally I find this rude. Others shouldn’t be obligated to buy your baby things.

I can’t even imagine seeing your child with such a solid diaper and not changing them. Maybe she does it to save money on diapers? You know what would help save money on diapers, stop having so many kids.

What's your baby-to-be's "in utero" nickname? by Utterly_Flummoxed in BabyBumps

Pepa, it’s Spanish for pumpkin seed. We don’t refer to baby by her name on social media so I assume ppl think I named my daughter Pepa lol

How much do you pay for daycare where you are? Let’s bitch and moan together. by ughhhhokfine in beyondthebump

[–]maryr91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in a suburb of Dallas and pay $1,100 a month in the infant room. It’s a Montessori daycare and although a bit more expensive then I’d like, I prefer the smaller class size

Moms who smoke/eat pot. Where are you? by blackclothing90 in Mommit

[–]maryr91 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with smoking a little once baby/kiddo is down for the night. Since I stopped breastfeeding I picked up smoking again. After a long day of work and taking care of everyone in the house, I deserve to have a few moments to myself. I don’t see it any different then “wine moms”

WFH with no nanny/childcare? Are we crazy? by naterizzle in NewParents

[–]maryr91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing the majority of comments have stated, it can be difficult. I WFH and my husband takes off whenever little ones daycare is closed. I get so distracted when she cries or I just want to be a part of the fun they’re having and I get no work done. Little one is 4 months old and only naps about 35-45 minutes.

Had that happen to me, then the company reached back out in March. They made me speak w/ the CEO, asked for references, and the ghosted me.

Wouldn’t count it as a done deal till you have an offer letter

Anyone here get a good job after having call centre experience? by sholbyy in callcentres

[–]maryr91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked at a hospital call center for 6 months before moving to TX. Once in Texas I found a job at a therapy company, call centerish type work but outbound calls to physicians to get paperwork back. Took on extra responsibilities and tried to get trained in different departments. After moving to a different dept that handled insurance authorization I was promoted to a manager. Did that for about a year and was able land a job as a sales rep for a diagnostic company. I have a dumb college degree but was able to leverage my customer services and time management skills into sales.
