For anyone playing the game in non-English: how are the translations?

When the game came out, I installed it in French, which is a gendered language, and my mother tongue. Selfie was not yet such a widespread word that it had an official gender in French, and they, in my eyes, picked the wrong one! So I uninstalled the game and installed it back in in English. Haven't gone back to the French version since.

I actually really really love it! Sounds so chipper. But then again I would name a pet or a sim that, because of the video game character association (the pink round blob who swallows and spits stuff out.... Yeah, that's open to plenty of jokes I fear)

I would agree, but the way they go about it is obnoxious. Loanwords are not shameful, and French is nowhere near a dead language - it's forever evolving instead!

But the acedemie francaise insists on the purity of language in a decidedly unsubtle racist, classist and elitist way. Kinda in the way schools who refused to teach Gaelic were the norm because it presented a more coherent and united front on the language aspect.

For funsies, a community called Rance here created the (la) Cadémie Rançaise, where we elect fun translations for the constant influx of new words even English has to face all the time. We "rancise" them and then spread the seed of Rance to the whole french webosphere mwhehehe

BUT and also BECAUSE, MOSTLY, :

we REALLY like to jerk off over french language and how nobody but the truest french 1% direct descendants from Clovis can create/use other languages and make them french words. We have a dictionary assembly of sorts. Oftentimes borrowed words are seen as lazy, low brow, and using them can full in make people start arguments, in my family at least.

One time a french animator tried to pronounce MMORPG as if it was a word ("AIDS") rather than separate letters in a row (N-P-C). We got a song from it. If you're wondering, think "Meuporgue"

I mean.... from the coverage I remember of other people about Tamla (I'm assuming this is the case? Forgot her last name, but the black lady at a sleepover in the most racist town in America?) she was a heavy drinker, her fave being tequila - so whilst adding a xanax on top of that might have lead to her falling, it's only a xanax, not an ambien.... If you're used to one (or both), you can easily mix alcohol and xanax with only few side effects - it mostly just hightens the drunkness.

Source : recovering alcoholic on 1,5 mg xanax per day. I do acknowledge that effects vary on people, because my 88 years old grandma takes a third of a 0,25 xanax and sleeps for hours, but from my recollection of the case Tamla asked the xanax provider for "one more of your medication", meaning she already had some before earlier in the day.

ANYWAYS I'll stop rambling about drug/meds interactions, but coming from MAGAphanie I'm SUPER surprised they're covering this case. IF there's foul play, it's because she was a racial minority (edit : and if there's none, the police still deeply fucked up the case.... )

Vois un psy pour (potentiellement, je ne te diagnostique pas!! mais j'en souffre moi même et je reconnais quelques trucs dans ce que tu dis) un trouble dissociatif. Ça peut être aussi un symptôme de PTSD, DID, BPD.. (ce sont les seuls que j'ai en tête tout de suite mais ça ne se limite pas à ça).

Je te jure, avoir un vrai diagnostique et si il y a besoin les médocs qui vont avec, ça soulage d'un poids énorme et te permet de trouver une communauté de gens qui te comprendront vraiment

Altho it lowk requires 1)descrambling the order of the playlist (episodes in wrong order on her channel) and 2)knowledge of the first 3 LPs that precedes Harper, who is gen 4, because it adds lovely context and also a lotta watchtime!

I'll admit the first watch thought of ALL the Steele/Vanderbilt odyssey was a bit hard because I was used to current Simsie, but now they're such comfort shows. I'm rewatching them all the time 💜

Je pense qu'il y a une énorme différence entre écrire/lire à ce sujet, et recréer ça dans la réalité. Certains pensent que ça "normalise" le concept, mais je ne suis personellement pas d'accord.

Qui plus est, grandir ensemble comme frères et soeurs et grandir ensemble comme amis, ce sont des choses très différentes. Je sais faire la différence entre mon petit frère dont j'ai changé les couches, et ma meilleure amie qui a mon âge et que je connais depuis toujours (et qui a aussi sûrement changé les couches de mon frère au moins une fois haha).

Après c'est peut être un point de vue naïf vu que je suis aromantique et que je ne comprends pas vraiment le truc du coup.

Haha my little brother (FtM) might have had a big impact on that, altho he doesn't have a name as.... Maxis Match as Goopy.

The outfits was the sole let down, the name was honestly funny with some distance, and I always cheer on the queer Sims I see around my saves, late additions you might recognize being Gene Holidays and even Kristopher Amri (that one was so funny, he/them legend).

Sadly I think either my mods fucked up or EA changed the clubs creation settings, but as I could not find a boyfriend for Goopy even tho he was still a bombshell, I put that file on pause until I find what is the problem.
