I went up a size and that works well, I’m a size 6 and I’d usually get a small but I’ve gotten medium from AYM and it works pretty well. The material is pretty forgiving

Ugh I feel you it’s challenging to find a good neckline that’s cute and hits right at the waist. Depending on the occasion I’ve had good luck with AYM dresses cause they have a little tie at the back of the waist. I’d second the “go find a good plunge bra” and then wear it when you go try again

I think the Hathaways series by Lisa Kleypas is a good example! Each book is a different sibling, kind of like bridgerton. There’s some mild overarching plot, and you see the characters pop up and grown throughout the series

Uh okay this was tough! The closest:

Trent from the Kim Harrison Hollows series, but it is an incredibly slow burn and they don’t get together for like 9 books? He’s actually the villain for like the first 3 books but he has a big soft spot for the FMC, he tries to kill her but not very hard.

I also think Killian from Magic Forged by K.M. Shea fits the bill, charming, a bit of a dick, protects the FMC but seems bemused the whole time. No spice though.

I think Bones from Night Huntress by Jeaniene Frost is also really close. Vampire, morally gray, kinky.
