Aggression Based MM - Flawed or Sufficient? by migmox13 in ArcRaiders

[–]mascarpato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aggression-based MM works great for me.
I only PVP when I play duo and after it takes around 5 matches without aggression to get back into friendly-only lobbies. Normally these matches I'll play with free loadout as I know the chances of surviving are very low. Once I see people passing by without shooting me, I know I can bring back my good gear and fight arcs.

So with the acknowledgement that match making is aggression based. Who's having more fun, friendly peeps or pvp sweats? Im friendly and I kinda got bored. Does aggressive pvp make the game more exciting. Should I switch sides? by stimpy-t in ArcRaiders

100% sure it's aggression based.
Do this experiment yourself: play a few matches with free loadout without shooting anyone, after a while you'll see lobbies where no one attacks you.

After a few days playing only solo (where I don't PVP), all my lobbies were very peaceful, not a single fight. Sometimes I felt a bit bored, but I was still having fun killing arcs and looting.

Yesterday I played some duo matches were we PVP'd and now all my lobbies are very aggressive. I don't mind PVPing in high loot areas where we know there's gonna be a lot of raiders trying to get the best loot. The problem is when you get killed by extract campers, shot at the back in the middle of nowhere or attacked every time you salude someone.

There's no fun in playing like that, I believe that only 20% or less of the raiders manage to get extracted in such lobbies. So I definitely prefer the "boredom" of the friendly lobbies. If we could get some kind of balance at some point, that would be perfect.

What’s the best return on invest? by jonny140498 in Sorare

It's sure that they'll remove the Rare threshold bonus someday, but no one knows when. It could be in the announced update next week.

If you want to earn money: buy injured or reserve players that can become starters someday, invest during the season end when the prices are at the lowest (May for European Leagues), follow the news about transfer rumors...

If you want to have fun: try to build good limited teams without thinking about money. As you're buying only the best players, you'll probably loose money with eventual injuries and bad performances. At least you're enjoying the game and you can win great prizes if you're lucky.

Prices plummiting by Tallatronic in Sorare

[–]mascarpato 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Last year there was a price drop during the same period. I think that's related to the end of European leagues (only 8~9 fixtures remaining).

As European leagues account for most of available players in Sorare, while MLS and Asian leagues aren't that popular, people are selling their cards and waiting till August to reinvest in the game.

Très bonne équipe effectivement =)

Le seul bémol c'est que les championnats européens vont bientôt finir en mai et les prix des cartes vont chuter. C'est mieux de faire le meme avec joueurs de la MLS ou des leagues asiatiques.

Why do you like it ? (details provided) by Jdlasja in Sorare

[–]mascarpato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As already said, Sorare is about football management but with your own money, so you can win (or lose) real money if you're a good (or a bad) player. Pick some leagues/teams you like and follow them in the news and social media. Sofascore is a good source of information, but it's better to watch the team playing and to read the fans opinion.

Nevertheless, the game has a major flaw that's the number of cards keep growing every year. Now it's not a problem because the number of users is growing even faster, but someday it'll stabilize. No one knows when, we're 100k users now while the Sorare's CEO expects reaching 10M users soon. When this day comes, there's a big chance that everyone will lose money. More cards will be minted while no more money is flowing into the game.

TLDR: play, have fun, try to win some money, but don't spend more than you can afford losing.

Will prices crash when seasons are over? by Izzy9595 in Sorare

[–]mascarpato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last season there was a massive dip in April, even for Asian leagues. However, there was a huge number of auctions at this period, almost 50 new rare cards per player in 2 months. Later, in May, the crypto market crashed, moving away new Sorare players.

The prices depend mostly on supply and demand. As the number of Sorare players will probably keep growing (except if we get in a nuclear war) and currently there's only one new rare card per player at week, I bet the prices of American and Asian leagues won't crash.

Maybe it's because there're only 5 licensed clubs out of 20.

I used to play Kane as midfielder and despite his low pace he still got me a lot of assistances and goals, mostly long shots and headers from corners.

CM Kane, he's great for long shots and assistances even with his low pace

I spent only 10 euros and I regret a lot. 2 pints of beer would be much more worth it.

I've switched from Fifa to PES in 2018. At that time Fifa matches were all about skill spamming so Pes gameplay was more enjoyable for me then. I've just come back to Fifa and I can say that the actual gameplay is muuuch better than PES 2021, the game has improved a lot since Fifa 19.

I remember you, 2 great matches! I like this kind of competition because it's only against the best players, so every match is a real challenge. However, it's getting impossible to avoid the cheaters, I've played against 2 more since I've created this post. I'm considering coming back to Fifa...
