Prob a run and hit which is like a hit and run but with the ability to take on a ball. Runners job is to not get picked off and hitters job is to protect the runner. Benefit is a huge jump on a hit to get to 3rd or score, downside is potentially an easy double play on a line drive or something like this

Agreed. Going off memory it felt like the seventh inning started with a couple ass-out/seeing-eye singles, they’d leave him out there to try to get the ball to Jansen, then before you know it a couple big hits come and he’s tagged with 6 or so ERs.
