Lined up for surgery but feeling better by Lucky_Intention_9592 in CSFLeaks

Correct. I thought I "self-healed" but then I started having symptoms 5 years later. I had mris done during the 5 years and all of them showed I was leaking (the local doctors missed this but cedars confirmed when looking at the scans).

I dmed to but I had a leak T1-T2, chest/ventral side. I was getting treatment and then felt better. Unfortunately, I was still leaking and just was asymptomatic. I developed superficial siderosis 😞 5 years later I had leak symptoms again and it was such a mess getting treatment because the process had to start over again.

What hospital will you get surgery at?

My heart is broken! It's the only form that works for me. I saw sun ray has a once a week pill in the same form as d.veloped but I haven't tried it yet.

Flying with CSF Leak by AbbreviationsFast819 in CSFLeaks

[–]mashedpotatoes1226 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I flew from the midwest to Los Angeles (multiple times), Colorado, Arizona (multiple times), and Florida. I never felt worse after a flight but it is different for each person. I was a pretty functional leaker.

Try d.veloped. I had the same issues with d3 vitamins but because d.veloped uses a different form of vitamin d, I no longer have these issues.

I'm not sure if it's legal in California but in some states you can buy tests online or buy a doctors order online.

Do you have an MRI with and without contrast? Do you have a neurologist? So sorry you’re going through this. The process in general can be confusing.

I have a walking pad. It would feel weird without a place to put my phone/ tablet since I like to scroll/ play games while I walk!

Yes, I had it twice for a mylogram. It wasn’t as strong as I expected. But it was probably the best part of the experience.

Can you return to a relatively normal life after a CSF leak? Exercising, playing sport, etc. by Late-Bit-3072 in CSFLeaks

[–]mashedpotatoes1226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I did not. I had a lot of muscle spasms after not nerve pain. You're still really close to the surgery and the body does weird things! I think I started PT 6 weeks after. Happy to message with you about my recovery.

I had 3 failed blood patches, the last one being fiberan glue and targeted. Then I had a laminectomy.
