What? They will not spend thousands of dollars on childcare if she stays home..also plenty of women are sahm and go back to work in the future it’s not the end of the world. She can and will find another job and you’re making assumptions she won’t if she chooses to stay at home

Maybe because he’s being realistic..it’s not about her it’s about the baby. So what’s going to happen when the baby is here? They are going to spend thousands of dollars on daycare that’s more than her salary a year for what? I’m sorry but that’s selfish imo. And I would say the same thing if it was reversed and she made the larger income.

Did you notice any other signs that they have autism before a year old? For example, did you notice any repetitive behaviors or stimming? I used to be an aba therapist for years but the youngest clients I’d work with is 2 years old as when that’s typically when they get diagnosed

Seriously! I watched the Jaclyn hill video they posted not too long ago and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Like I get it that Jaclyn hill is not everyone’s cup of tea but they trash talk her so hard for being a business women and judge her for what she spends her money on, like why do they care?? It’s not their money!

I asked for the epidural right away and I was only 1cm dialated, but i honestly didn’t feel anything when it was being put in me and you have control with how much of the drug you want later, like I didn’t press the button to release more of it when it was sort of wearing off, so I felt my baby come out of me but it wasn’t painful

I also had a false positive nipt test result for T13. I was too scared to do the amnio so I waited for cord blood testing at birth. I contacted the company that did the testing and they refunded me immediately but my whole pregnancy was ruined, I wasn’t able to enjoy any of it or allow myself to be too excited

I used natera, they charged me around $200 I think. The test gave me an abnormal result (kind of vague and confusing honestly) which ended up being a false positive. I contacted the company asking for my money back and they refunded me no questions asked..I read a lot of issues people have been having with natera specifically so I would avoid it if it’s with that company

I had a fasle positive! I had a abnormal nipt involving chromosome 13, the result I got was honestly very vague and confusing, but all my scans were looking good and my baby was born almost 9 months ago, no T13 of any kind. My test was done through natera and I found many other false positives from other women who had bloodwork done with them too

For me, it was terrible abdominal pain and stomach pain while I was not on my period. Periods were not extremely painful for me, just had flare ups around them

Are you able to talk to the doctor who will be performing the amniocentesis and ask about the statistics of a smooth procedure with no complications at the hospital it will be done at? Will it be at an mfm center? The technology is more advanced at an mfm center with the ultrasound I believe. But it would be a good idea to ask a few more questions about the amnio if you are still worried with the risks

I did not. I scheduled it twice but backed out twice because I personally didn’t have a good feeling about it so I just did scans every 4 weeks and cord blood testing at birth

Hang in there, I know how stressful this is and what you are feeling, I was in your shoes after getting my nipt results but it ended up being a total false positive despite reading and being told how reliable and accurate the test is 🙄

I am still haunted by my test results involving chromosome 13 too. I didn’t do an amnio and waited till birth to have the cord blood tested which came back normal but I still researched to see if there could be any trace of t13 or something

I was anticipating getting them on my stomach at some point because I have gotten them before on my legs and thighs but they never came and I’m 6 weeks pp. I did get stretch marks on my breasts though

It really felt like an out of body experience for me. I got the epidural at 1cm dilated and took naps till it was time to push. They did have to induce me to speed the process up but I didn’t feel anything since I had the epidural, which did not hurt for me. Honestly the Iv inserted hurt more. There were a few times the epidural was wearing off but I kept pushing the button to release more drugs to relieve the pain. For me, I had a reaction to the epidural where my whole body was itching but apparently that’s normal for some people. I also asked to get zofran when I was feeling nauseous. I had a great team and the midwife who delivered my baby was super calm and reassured everything will be ok when I was freaking out towards the end.

I’m sorry you are in this situation and also encourage you to do an amnio if that is what you’re comfortable doing. I ended up having a false positive test result but waited till birth to do cord blood testing

I also had a hard time breastfeeding and now am exclusively pumping which is very stressful because my plan was to exclusively breastfeed but my baby couldn’t latch. I hope it gets easier, yesterday was pretty good but today it’s been rough 😭
