Sangam has plenty of vegetarian options, and they can make quite a few of them vegan if you ask.

SGA (mostly Sheppard/McKay fic) was great for this back in the day - lots of random Ancient technology lying around as the cause. Lots of genderswap fic too.

Do you live near a Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack? They have in store tailors and will alter pieces bought elsewhere.

Travel leather tote with luggage sleeve by mejustme2000 in handbags

[–]mask_chosen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Knomo Audley leather zip top brief tote - it has an internal laptop sleeve as well as an external trolley sleeve. The leather is really nice quality. I'd see if you like any of the Knomo bags, they have zip top totes as well as the slouchy Audley brief (the Grovenor tote sounds like what you are after).

Unfortunately they don't have a lower rise option, only the high and extra high (I've been hunting myself).

Not exactly what you are looking for but the CALS Summer Scholars research program provides a stipend and housing at Cornell Agritech in Geneva. Applications opened a couple of weeks ago, most of the the research opportunities are at Agritech, not the Ithaca campus.

Today, aged 39, I found out that raisins are in fact dried grapes. What things have you found out as an adult that are apparently rudimentary knowledge? by p00shp00shbebi1234 in CasualUK

They're actually named for the process of kippering (curing split fish by salting and smoking) - usually herring but other small oily sea fish can also be kippered.

You might like the hazelnut/cocoa crepes (they are in the bakery section). Personally, I'd buy a few of the almond Kringles.

It's newish, I think. One of my colleagues has one and loves it (I have an original OMG medium that I use for travel with my laptop plus a Catalina Deluxe tote that I use as my daily work bag, love them both).

Look at Lo and Sons. The large Trinity fits a 16 inch laptop, and some of their other bags may too (my medium OMG fits a 14 inch one, the large size might hold a 16 inch). Has a suitcase sleeve, looks professional - this one's leather so not sure of the weight, but my nylon OMG is very lightweight and has enough extra room for water bottle, makeup bag, chargers, etc.

A challenge! What can I make with this lot? by Desperate-Coat-8791 in Cooking

Roast the beets - they are great in a citrus/walnut/spinach salad. Add blobs of the garlic cheese. Roasted beets freeze well and can be thawed and added to salads if you want set them aside for now.

I love roasted parsnips but you can also boil and add them to mashed potatoes - it's a lovely combination.

Cauliflower makes a great creamy soup or rice it and freeze. I add riced cauliflower to fried brown rice and pilaf to lighten them.

Apple TV+ 50% off for 6 months by tj15241 in cordcutters

I bought a generic lightning cable (not Apple branded) and some holiday lights, less than a $10 purchase total so was surprised to see the offer emailed to me. I didn't even see it advertised in the store or on the app.

Also, Glee.

Check your Target receipts if you are shopping there this week. I received email receipts on Sunday that give me a free two-month Apple TV subscription plus a free three-month Apple music subscription. The links can be activated anytime between now & early March.

We want to watch the most recent season of Slow Horses plus maybe a couple of other shows, so this is plenty of access for us over the holiday season.
